Very little roll call activity?

Hi - my husband and I will be on the Aug 11-18th sailing on Ovation to Greece - I created a roll call thread but there has been very little activity. I am wondering if there is another roll call (I am on the 7 day cruise but there is also a 14 day cruise which is from Sept 11-25th) I should be on? Or maybe the cruise is way underbooked because of the virus concerns? I am trying to figure out shore excursions and I was hoping to at least find someone to share a private tour on Crete

Historically Seabourn roll calls don't generate much interest or traffic.  The ships are small enough that guests organically meet one another easily and quickly on board.  And of course, most SB guests do not come on - or know of - cruisecritic.

One issue is that there is no Aug 11-18 cruise on the the Ovation.   The embarkation dates in August are on 7, 14, 21, and 28.

I think @Lisacope meant September. There is a September 11-18 sailing of Ovation, and she also referenced the 14-day September 11-25 cruise, of which September 11-18 would be the first half.

Yes - thanks for your correction - I am on the September 11-18 sailing - only 61 days to go!

Lisa,

I have often asked the same question myself. We primarily cruise Regent and Seabourn and we find the demographics similar when on board. The roll calls seem  much more active on Regent. Our canceled 2021 WC was extremely active and included such things as book recommendations based on where we were going. That being said do not be concerned as the people are equally nice on both lines. We have two, 30 days cruises on Seabourn in 2023, and no roll calls.... We do hope to have even a little roll call. It does add to the excitement of cruising.

As sfvoyage has written, Roll Calls for Seabourn do not attract much participation and most Seabourn passengers are not CC participants.  Very different from other cruise lines.  Sorry about that.  I miss the activity too.
