Apparently, just as you said, they announced it on Sunday. Very nicely offered us onboard credit for our troubles. Good. Let's hope the onboard experience for you is all we've touted it to be! 😄
schnapperin Posted July 19, 2021 #27 Share Posted July 19, 2021 Good news! And just in time before all of France is on Holiday Also a quick Note - Check the Iceland entry requirements in time before you leave, they just announced that all arrival passengers need to present a negative test result (update should follow soon on Covid.is- will be effective on 26 or 27 July)
jonikal Posted July 19, 2021 Author #28 Share Posted July 19, 2021 Has this changed since then? Usually Icelandair's site is very up-to-date and reliable. 07/15/2021 | 8:00 AM Visiting Iceland Last updated: July 14, 2021 Passengers vaccinated against COVID-19 or recovered from it Can you visit Iceland? Yes. All travelers – regardless of origin – are welcome to visit Iceland if they can show either a certificate of full vaccination against COVID, or a certificate of previous COVID infection. See What do I need on my certificate of vaccination or previous infection? Do you need to provide a PCR test, be tested on arrival, or enter quarantine? No. From July 1, 2021, there is no longer a requirement for arrival testing for passengers vaccinated against COVID-19 or recovered from it. Rare AussieBoyTX Posted July 19, 2021 #29 Share Posted July 19, 2021 (edited) It's quite new. Effective July 27: https://www.rcinet.ca/eye-on-the-arctic/2021/07/19/iceland-to-require-covid-19-testing-for-vaccinated-travellers-over-delta-variant-concerns/ But it also reads that an antigen test is sufficient, and those are easy to get here. 😞 Edited July 19, 2021 by AussieBoyTX

We would in any case be getting this test done in order to fly on Delta. Now it looks like the CDC has requested a continuation of the ban on UK travelers since they have so many of the new cases there.
schnapperin Posted July 22, 2021 #31 Share Posted July 22, 2021 Another heads up as Iceland is currently recording the highest case numbers of 2021 with a high percentage in fully vaccinated. new restrictions are expected but no idea if that will impact border requirements or cruise travel
Rare AussieBoyTX Posted July 22, 2021 #32 Share Posted July 22, 2021 Iceland has updated their website with this handy tool that says what requirements are based on if you're vaccinated or not.https://island.is/en/p/entry
jonikal Posted July 23, 2021 Author #33 Share Posted July 23, 2021 Thanks for very useful info.. Anticipating that the requirements which are effective until July 27 will likely tighten up. One has to wonder whether this is going to affect sailings given the issues that Viking has had.
schnapperin Posted July 24, 2021 #34 Share Posted July 24, 2021 They announced late last new requirements from today like a Limited of 200 for gatherings, mask mandate and capacity limits Fingers crossed they get the cases under control - which I doubt with the high numbers of visitors and the Icelandic holiday season with cases high in popular travel spots
Rare AussieBoyTX Posted July 28, 2021 #35 Share Posted July 28, 2021 (edited) We were notified that Ponant is administering antigen tests on the day of boarding and on day 4 for our Greek cruise at the end of the month. We also received text messages (in English) on the requirements to "enter France" after the cruise. Before boarding : Two antigenic tests on the day of your boarding and the 4th day. To enter Greek territory, a location form must be filled out online: https://travel.gov.gr/#/ For unvaccinated passengers: the completed medical questionnaire, the COVID 19 + the certificate on the honor at the end of the document as well as a mandatory RT-PCR test -72 hours negative before boarding two antigenic tests on the day of your boarding and the 4th day. To enter France from Greece, a negative RT-PCR screening test or an antigen test of less than 24 hours is mandatory for unvaccinated people as well as a declaration on the honor and to organize your return flight according to obtaining the result The summary of formalities can be accessed by clicking on the following link: https://fr.calameo.com/read/000132423668d4bed7572 Edited July 28, 2021 by AussieBoyTX
Rare AussieBoyTX Posted July 28, 2021 #36 Share Posted July 28, 2021 I also wonder if recent changes in French covid policy are informing some of the clarity about Ponant ship policy. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/france-covid-pass-mandatory-group-leisure-soon-bars-restaurants/

Rare AussieBoyTX Posted August 3, 2021 #38 Share Posted August 3, 2021 So… Walk-in to ship’s hospital during their normal opening hours and requested an antigen test. Test done and certificate issued 10 minutes later. We uploaded to VeriFLY (used by British Airways) and accepted by them a minute later. 25 euros each
