Hi Roy,

No we did go to Ausable Chasm many years ago - in fact, it was one of the hottest days at Lake George, so we thought with all that running water it would be cooler at the Chasm.  WRONG!! Being trapped between the rock walls, it was actually hotter in there!

Not an answer to your question but the maximum we could leave Max was 7 days with the automatic feeder. He was fine for 7 days with no check in but the one time we took a 10 day trip he let us know. When we arrived home he came to the door, looked us up and down,  turned around, walked off and ignored us for 2 days.  I’ll add that he was super friendly and loved strangers so the point was made.

Im extremely pleased with yesterday’s botanical prints. I printed two pieces of silk to make a top from later. Without getting too technical and boring, it’s a mix of sharp clear prints and softer ghost prints, where the original has been allowed to bleed through to the layers below it. I’ve been experimenting with my own cocktail of modifiers, and the leaves reacted to it as I had hoped.

DD is taking a friend off island for an eye exam today. Lunch, shopping, and exploring will find their way into the day somewhere. Preferably before the friends eyes are dilated.

What a wonderful talent. Each one is more beautiful than the last. I love trees, most art in our house is of trees, but do hate having a rake leaves 12 months of the year! Please keep sharing your creations.

@rafinmdIt sounds like you had a taxing day.  I'm glad your doctor is on top of things and is being pre-emptive.  I like the strong offense move rather than always depending on defense.  

@JazzyVIt sounds like your surgery was successful and you will be much better after you heal.

@mamaofamiTake it slow.  I have found through the years that if I don't get something done today, I can do it tomorrow.  Very little has a definite deadline.  You can even get extensions on taxes.

 

As for coughs and habits that we develop, I have developed a nervous habit of grinding my jaw.  Not my teeth, my jaw.  I do it all day long and it gets painful.  I'll stop and before I know it, I'm doing it again and don't remember starting up.  I've talked to my dentist and my primary care doctor about it.  No one has a solution.  If I hold a pencil between my teeth, I can't do it.  But, I look a little weird walking around the grocery store with the pencil in my mouth.  I've tried a bite guard and that helps most of the time.  I don't know what else to do.

@StLouisCruisers sorry you weren't able to get to the origin of your cough; a friend of ours has had one (and a very bad one at that) for a number of years that still remains a mystery to her medical team.  Hopefully yours will have a simple solution.

 

@atexsix before we had our Ragdoll, we had someone come into the house twice a day to dish out the wet food and clean the litter box.  Now with our Sochi, we have a house/pet sitter come to live in for the duration of our absence.

LoL.  Yes that sounds like a cat.  When Dear Dad came home after a month in England his cat at the time swatted at him with his paw for about a week.  

 

But we've had no problem leaving past cats for a week when they were younger and healthier, unfortunately now our current kitty has a special diet of wet food at set times.

Oh dear!  That would be unsettling. Our daughter was a dynamo also. She did the same thing at two but there were people already in the pool who were able to reach her fast. Her name is Gayle and we called her a gale force.

You might consider seeing a TMJ specialist. Maybe they would be helpful.

Sorry to hear everything you have to go through.

Paulines late dad had a prostate op in 1997 for his cancer and was in remission and good health for 11 years.

Treatment has improved dramatically since then so our prayers are for you to live a very long and healthy life.

 Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes to Craig. Our Daily family is the best!  I’ll forward them on to him. He went into the office today (he works from home) and texted me that he got a $70 gift card to his favorite local bookstore. He will be a happy camper with that many books. 

Thank you for the Daily Rich. I’m with you on the too many disappointments. At first I wanted to rush in and book the first cruise for July 24th but decided I’d better hold off and book something that Craig and I would both enjoy since we had just been to Alaska on our last cruise.
