Free balcony upgrade

I just updated my booking from an inside to a free balcony upgrade. By doing this I got $260 in onboard credit. Since this is my first MSC cruise I have a couple questions.

First am I allowed to use the onboard credit towards the daily service charge which is I think $15 or so per person.

Second I’m a bit concerned about the cabin that was assigned 8135 Divina which said “with life boat view”.  I’m not sure if the lifeboat will be under me or block in the whole view so I can’t see the ocean from the balcony.

Third can I use the onboard credit in the casino slot machines?

Forth since I lost the “all in drinks and Wi-Fi package”.  I found a list that showed what you could get with that package and I’m assuming without the package you can get those drinks for six dollars plus gratuity?

I would really appreciate any responses.  Thank you.

OBC from MSC can be used towards gratuities and also can be used in the casino.

The lifeboat is just below the balcony level, some support structures do stick up.  Poor quality video but you can get the idea:

Without a drink package you just pay the menu price plus 15% gratuity.  There are several drinks $6 and less.

This is the kid of view you will have.  And if you sand and look out, there is a walkable deck below but no view, which is because of the lifeboats:

We thought it was well worth the money.  EM

Obstructed view is a drag if you're trying to see K-Pop on a live stage.

If all you're trying to see is the Mediterranean, sea gulls, the sky and the horizon, and you don't care about seeing the bald heads of people walking in the deck below you, then you're not going to care.

I mean, if they were dumpsters or something ...

You can purchase a drink package as an add on. Internet too. When you sign in to look at your booking you’ll see a tab for drink packages and Wifi and photos and so on. I am on the 11 day starting November 21 and this is the price for the drink and WiFi packages for my cruise.
