extra large balcony?

In looking at the diagram for Majestic Princess, it looks like category BD cabins D701 through D710 have extra large balcony's... as big as the D4 premium deluxe balcony's just down from them. It also looks like Dolphin Deck (deck 9) is the only deck that has this type of larger balcony. Can anyone who has stayed in those specific cabins confirm this?  Bonus points for any pictures 🙂

Thanks... and here's hoping we can all safely cruise again before too long 🙂

I, too, would love photos as we are booked on D704 o the Enchanted Princess next year. After searching on the forum I did see a couple of photos of a Royal class ship and info about D701-710 and grabbed one of the last three cabins for the September 2022.

The balconies will be 9ft wide by approx. 10ft deep. There will be approximately 4ft of cover from the balconies on deck 10. The railing is glass. The interior will be the same as other balcony category cabins. Look at the exterior photo. These cabins begin 8 from the aft.

Maybe I can get partial credit? ☺️

Not from the Majestic.....not the regular balconies...but the balconies are the same size.

These pictures are from the Sky D719 and although the cabin is a bit larger, the balcony is the same size as D701-D710.

We are booked in a Premium Deluxe Balcony cabin D712 on the Enchanted Princess next Feb. 28. Does anyone know if all of these cabins with premium balconies have the foot stools like those in the picture above. Just curious. I have looked at alot of balcony pictures, and it seems it's hit or miss whether they have the foot stools.

No one will know for sure until the Enchanted Princess' initial voyage scheduled for November 2021

We were originally booked on the Sky Princess for Nov. 2021 in D708.  There was a special at time of booking for free upgrades within categories so price was great.  Then they changed our ship to Caribbean Princess so got a Carib deck 10 C708 balcony and they lowered our price by $100 total.  Then this sailing was cancelled and we were able to move it to the Enchanted Princess for Nov. 2022 and I was able to get D704, keeping the same price as on the Caribbean Princess.  I am so looking forward to trying this ship and the large balcony.  We have only been on Grand class ships.

We will be in D704 on the Enchanted Princess transatlantic September 2022. Really looking forward to the large balcony on sea days.

I am looking at one of these cabins with the larger balcony on Dolphin as well for a sailing next year.  So, to be clear...these cabins D701- D 710, have the larger balcony, but do NOT have the sofa?

In looking at the photos, yes, that is the impression I have - D701 through D710 have the larger balcony, but a lightly smaller inside room area that does not include a sofa, only the desk/vanity w/chair, and another counter space with the mini fridge beneath it (opposing sides).

Just curious if there is a second chair INSIDE these balcony cabins?

D704 is a balcony category cabin. It will have one desk chair. No 2nd chair. The balcony should have two chairs, most likely two foot stools and a small round table.

There's no room for the footrests or a lounger on the "regular" balconies.  You can barely sit in the chair and need to angle it I think not to knock knees on glass panel.

We are in a Premium Deluxe Balcony on the Enchanted. I have seen pictures of larger balconies with and without the footrests. Just hoping we have them.

We're also Steeler fans.

Can't give you those pictures but here is D227. The ones you are looking at are bigger, I think, but not as big as D227. D226 is also the same. They are in a lower class (and less money) than the rooms next to them to the left but are also slightly smaller cabin. They were bigger than some of the suites as I remember. cabin 2276.jpg

I hope you have them as well.

We pass by your alma mater town generally a couple of times per year (to/from FL).  We have even done an over-night a couple of times near the stadium.

I think the person you were hoping would post the pictures has changed their sailing from November 2021 to November 2022… So assuming you’re on in February 2022, you will be on before they will, so maybe you can post the pictures lol

We were just in D702– the forwardmost of aft “standard” balcony cabins. It was a wonderful cabin. Please keep these huge fwd and aft Dolphin balconies a secret!

Sooo looking forward to that big balcony... and hopefully we can convince the room steward to provide foot stools or even loungers if possible 🙂  Thanks for posting the pics! 🙂
