Never seen an automatic hand washer.  What a great idea, except they probably need several at the entrance once they are sailing at full capacity.

it was great fun to use  but I suspect that you are right about need more on capacity sailings....

How long does the hand-washer take, how many people could it wash in (say) five minutes? And, how many of them were provided?

I used it when first told to and found my watch got very wet, but is not waterproof, so I was quite concerned about it.  We had just arrived so I was wearing my expensive watch for security reasons.  I always wash my hands before going to any restaurant, then ask for the sanitiser instead if we go from the pool deck side into the buffet, which is where the washer is located.  Staff fine with that, though it is quite popular with some passengers.
