Hi All,

Made it through testing, and with an upgraded cabin. I only have roaming in port rather than WiFi package but if you post any questions you might have, happy to pick up when I can. I'll update on experience and excursions too.

Arrived two days early to stay Athens Gate hotel with amazing Acropolis view.

Passenger locator form needed to be shown at every stage of getting on the airport, but wasn't needed on arrival - got through Greek passport control in about 2 minutes. Used Piraeus port postcode in the cruise section and that seemed to be accepted.

30 minute taxi from Athens to Piraeus and accidentally arrived before check in time of 3pm (earliest option). Found out I'd been upgraded, and dropped the luggage off with new tags.

Then straight on to the terminal testing. You do need the QR code they send when you register ahead of arrival - details in an email that arrived the week before.

They test you and give you a cold flannel and water while you wait 20 minutes for results. Code then flashes up on a screen and you're given a sticker and sent on to check-in.

They take your temperature and pictures of your vaccination card. If you've already printed off your boarding card from online check-in, then it's straight on to security.

Then on board where half the crew is waiting to escort you to the safety briefing at your muster station. I was the only one there as they give you a very slimmed down 5 minute, and a free Azamara t-shirt.

You're then escorted to your cabin. My luggage arrived five minutes later. About 45 minutes from arrival in total.

Thanks for the summary so far, that’s great detailed info about the boarding process. It seems very efficient. I’m sure it was a huge relief once you were done with the test! 😀 A group of six of us are on the next Quest cruise just after you. Its sounds like everyone at Azamara is as excited as all of us to be sailing again.

I bet you were!  What a lovely surprise to be upgraded as well. Thanks for the clear information on what the testing regime was like.
By the way, have you sailed with Celebrity? If you have your loyalty status still carries over and you should have some free internet minutes. The future cruise folks on Deck 4 handle loyalty and can help you out.

I'm an NCL loyalist, although I think MSC's Yacht Club will regularly lure me away now I've tried it.

Fully explored Quest now and she really is a beautiful ship. Everything seems to be fully open, including complimentary steam room. Thalassotherapy pass for 1 for the week is $99 and less than double for 2.

Eclairs at Mosaic cafe are very, very nice.

Here is the first Insider (daily program), welcome aboard letter with excursion protocols, and menus.

Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us!  Are there a lot of passengers or is the ship fairly empty?

Captain Yohannes has just said Quest is not full, nor with crew because some countries are not allowing travel.

'Welcome back to sailing' party with the Captain and the President of Azamara.
