try to call Princess and ask if this cabin can be switched to the same category cabin but in different location.

i was once in a balcony cabin under Lido Pizza place and could hear people walking on the deck and moving chairs to sit at the tables - not pleasant if you are a light sleeper

What cabin is it? Not all cabins on Marina deck are below the public areas on Lido.

We did 14 days under Lido Deck on Star Princess. We experienced zero noise from Lido Deck.No noise from chair scraping, no noise from MUTS. I guess we were just lucky but we had no issues at all. We were in A408 on Star.

What's your cabin number?

Totally depends on what is directly above you.

We had a mid-ship Marina Deck mini-suite on the Royal Princess (same class as the Sky) a few years ago. While we didn't experience any issues with noise from scraping sun loungers we didn't like the Lido deck overhang over the balcony. It was absolutely awful in our opinion. Blocked out a lot of the sky and made the cabin feel gloomy. Hard to do on a Caribbean cruise but there it was. Never again.

yes once, never again!!  Every day, at 4 am, it sounded like they were running a cannon across the deck above.

@koonard as others have mentioned whether or not you will have some noise depends on where your cabin is and what’s above you. You may want to look at your cabin on the deck plan and then compare the location to what’s above you on the deck plan for Lido - for example carpeted areas like the buffet will not present a noise issue.

Also,  you could do a mock booking and  check to see if there are other open cabins in the same category that you like better, if there are it’s very simple for your TA or Princess to move you to the cabin in same category.

Overall, I wouldn’t stress too much over this, we frequently sail in cabins below the Lido and will continue to do so because we like the close proximity to the buffet for our morning coffee and upper deck bars.
