An S2 for a Fall 2022 cruise is now $6K than my S1 fare booked in February = I'm very happy with what I already have. 😁 BTW, if anyone has booked a suite and they're sold out, check if there are any handicapped suites. If so, they aren't sold out. Mine showed sold out until I tried that. That's how I found the current price.
JCNOLA504 Posted September 15, 2021 #202 Share Posted September 15, 2021 I alerted my TA when I got the text from Celebrity. She got me the $1400 credit.
Rare Ken the cruiser Posted September 15, 2021 #203 Share Posted September 15, 2021 "The Form" pays big dividends for us once again! This time it was just a Hail Mary shot as we kept hearing from our Celebrity PVP the 20% discount couldn't be applied if our cabin category was sold out or if it was past final payment. Well, just got the email from the rccl.com folks: Good Day, Your Non-Refundable Onboard Credit has been applied to Booking ID: xxxxxxx Kind regards, Best Price Guarantee Team Royal Caribbean Group So, of course, I immediately had to check my account even though I had just checked it an hour before. And low and behold, there was an extra $1,436 OBC sitting there waiting to be spent on excursions, specialty dining, extra tips for the crew, and anything else we can think of. Yes!!! 😎 3

Yes!!! 😎 After getting the OBC posted to our account yesterday associated with our "sold out" SV category booking, I wondered what figure they used to arrive at $1,436. As it turns out they based it on the "Cruise Fare" noted on our confirmation. Which got me to thinking. We have a B2B cruise in August where before being advertised as "sold out", the "Cruise Fare" for our AQ category had risen $750 pp and $1,700 pp, respectfully, since we first booked them. So I figured what the heck we have nothing to lose if we send in the Form for each of those cruises as well if there is an outside chance we'll get 20% deducted from the original price we paid, both of which are well before FP. So, wish us luck and I'll let you know what happens. 😎
ev8876 Posted September 16, 2021 #207 Share Posted September 16, 2021 For cruises before final payment due date, my experience is that they will match the current price offering for that cabin category. I submitted forms for our 5 cabins for a January 2022 cruise. 1 was repriced and the other 4 were rejected. I called reservations and they repriced the other 4 cabins for me. The agent told me that I should call reservations if it's before final payment date and to only use the form if it's after final payment date. I'm still waiting for my TA. Yes, this is exactly what happened in my case...called last night to Celebrity ( since I had booked my cruise directly at that time instead of through our usual TA) and was able to receive a $2000+ discount from the fare I had originally booked ( 2022 TA in an aft S1 suite). Doesn't hurt to call...

I'm not even sure by looking at a confirmation how you can tell if a Double Points promotion was applied to a booking. I just looked at a confirmation where I know we booked it with the double CC points promotion and nowhere does it reference that promotion as being included. So even if they were to add the DP's perk, as there is a reference to "Added Value Offer" on the Form to check if that's what you are also requesting, I'm not sure you would be able to tell until after the cruise was over. But, maybe I'm missing something ...
Lastdance Posted September 16, 2021 #211 Share Posted September 16, 2021 (edited) It would be nice if everyone posting a discount also shared their cruise/cabin info before and after repricing, so the rest of us could understand apples to apples...just saying! Thanks, Silkroad! Edited September 16, 2021 by Lastdance

Thanks, Silkroad! We are in a Nov sailing Apex "sold out" SV with our original cruise fare price at $2,589 pp. However, I just reapplied the math and to reach the combined $1,436 OBC figure we received, the cruise fare had to be $3,590 pp. So, from this new revelation, Celebrity must maintain current pricing figures on sold out categories just in case some become freed up later on, and presumably that's the figure, rather than the original cruise fare noted on the confirmation, they would use to compute how much to issue. Cool! 😎 Edited September 16, 2021 by Ken the cruiser

Lastdance Posted September 16, 2021 #214 Share Posted September 16, 2021 I called about repricing even when cabin/category sold out and was told that this should not be happening. The one thing many of us agree with is the miscommunication that is never ending. It always matters who you get on the other end of the phone. Yes, my TA was told no repricing if everything is sold out; really?

Yes, my TA was told no repricing if everything is sold out; really? When I booked last Thursday site said last cabin in the category. Friday was checking prices and another cabin in my category appeared also saying last cabin so got it repriced. zitsky Posted September 16, 2021 #217 Share Posted September 16, 2021 Oh well. My TA gave me good and bad news today. (My cruise was cut from 10 days to 8.) On the one hand, my reservation was shifted back to agent-A who I've worked with on several bookings, instead of agent-B who booked the current cruise when agent-A was out of office. agent-A tends to be more responsive. But I was hoping to take advantage of the fare sale and my TA says "we don't have a new invoice yet" so there is no way to get a better price. I'm still waiting to see if X will cancel this cruise or not. This last bit sounds a bit like hooey to me. But I'm willing to wait to reprice during the next fare sale, whenever that it. Were you on the 12th November Silhouette? If that one is to sail they would have to cut it down 3 days to a 7 day cruise.

Lastdance Posted September 16, 2021 #222 Share Posted September 16, 2021 Okay, so two of my cruises were re-priced; one for $20.00 less and the other for $246 less. Not much of a savings for suites on Edge/TA and Istanbul. My Apex cruises could not be done because they were both b2b/TA, booked when first released(suites) and sold out for many months. Yes, my TA said it depends on who you talk to at Celebrity. I also sent in all my forms too! Everything is difficult with Celebrity until you get onboard. Was anyone able to reprice their October TA on Apex for 2022?

Who knew! 😁 However, we also sent one in for our daughter's "sold out" AQ category booking on the first leg which she booked about a month ago. So there is still hope for the "sold out" bookings prior to FP. Here was their response: Good Afternoon: Thank you for your email. We regret to inform you that we are unable to apply the requested Best Price Guarantee. We show you already have the Best Rate. ev8876 Posted September 17, 2021 #224 Share Posted September 17, 2021 I got that same exact response for 4 out of 5 cabins I have reserved for January after I submitted the Best Price Form. So I called Celebrity and the vacation specialist processed the reduction for me. This was our second price reduction so I know you can have more than one.
