To answer some prior questions:

- one of the members from our social media group is on b2b sailings and said we were changing captains in Port Canaveral. Captain Tore Grimstad was scheduled to take over today. There hasn’t been any official announcement that a change took place.

- Boarding did start early on 9/19. We had 12:30 checkin time. When we walked to the terminal at noon, the sign said they were boarding the 2-2:30 group already.

- Our room attendant said the ship was empty earlier than usual that day, due to early arrival in port because of the medical emergency. (That may have allowed them to clear the ship and start boarding sooner.)

- He said the medical emergency was another stateroom attendant who suffered a heart attack. He said the man will be ok.

You can see the menus for each night in your RC app.

this is a hidden gem. just booked  last week and discovered them in there. heck the past few ships ive been on dont even have the MDR menus on the tv or app WHILE you were on board, much less a month in advance

Good choice to try the Portside BBQ. But remember it's not a free dinner. I had the brisket w/ mac& cheese as my one side. They give you three slices which was an ample portion but a little on the dry side. EVERYONE said the same thing. My price was 9.43 for that meal. You can order more sides. One man in my group got the ribs and chicken and three sides for 14.53. More than enough!! Wife got the combo pulled pork and " burnt ends" pulled pork and two sides, very tasty and plentiful. You wont go wrong with any choice there. No reservations required. One major disappointment was the Dog House from previous stop offs there. Dogs were not heated up properly, they didnt have relish and raw onions, only carmalized onions, bun was soggy. Skip that place if possible.

I agree that you can easily share a dinner at port side bbq! Ate  there yesterday and sadly had to leave food. A little more smoky than we prefer but still very good. Totally agree about the dog house, especially about the onions.

Can you drink beverages in the theater or comedy venue during the shows? Can you remove your mask once sitting in your seat?

Sure can. If you are in the “V” sections you do not need to have your mask on during the show. Comedy show is “V” only.

They usually  do a family comedy show on day 7, usually in the theater and that would be an “E” show.

Nothing is sitting out so you would have to go to the bar to get it.

Recently they changed the availability of fee beer, wine, soda in the SL. Used to be 11am -11pm. Now just during HH, 5pm -8pm. Some have reported being able to get a freebie outside of HH so I guess it doesn’t hurt to ask. We have not been there at those times yet.

For us, the five fire D+ drinks plus HH is plenty.

So the earlier report that RC had reversed the decision to not provide drinks from 11 to 11 is not correct?

I keep seeing info for the UDP, and when I sign in on Royal site, I do not see this option. Now, I guess it is because the cruise is so close, and I booked it last week.  But for future reference, can anyone tell me how much it is per person?

If you are interested, you will have ample opportunity to purchase it onboard.

Anyone on Oasis know who the painoist is at the Schooner bar? We are sailing 12/26/21 and I was wondering who it may be. That is our favorite hang out on Royal Caribbean and we love to have a entertaining one!  I know they usually stay on one ship for several months. TIA

Okay, so I just asked Rahul the SL concierge what the deal is. Beer, wine, soda, water are free between 11 and 11.
I’ll test it out tomorrow😜
