So last night was Chef’s Table.  My friend seriously hooked me up at Universal with discount tickets, hotel and express passes for both days.  Only way i finished everything in a day and left day 2 to just pick and choose my favorites to redo.  So i took her to Chefs Table as a thank you.

My ONLY complaint on this meal is that it was pretty much the same thing I had in 2019 on Allure.  But this Chef’s table was waaaay better.  Can’t explain why.  The chef was more into it.  The Sommelier seemed more knowledgeable.

Usually, Chef’s table finishes me.  I drink too much and done.  I’m a lightweight.  or a cheap date.  I didn’t even drink all of the wine.  My wife asked me to pace myself and I did.  Which meant i was not so drunk that i was finished.

So we went to the Hush Party at Ellingtons

It was an absolute blast.  We were there the entire hour.  This pushed me over the edge.  This really should last longer in my opinion, but personally, i was beyond done.  How do people get drunk and not have their rooms 4 floors down?  I could never do this if i wasn’t on a cruise.  I stumbled back to my cabin.  I can’t imagine having to negotiate transportation from a club back home in this state.

Chef's table looks amazing.  DH and I almost tried it one time, but wasn't sure if we would find it too long.  I'm the same in terms of a lightweight, and I'd probably feel it after the second glass.  Probably someday we will give it a try.

Meetup time was 6:30.  We rolled out at 10:25.   It did not feel long at all.  Looking back at it sober I’m like “were we there for four hours?”. To be fair, we continued to talk to the couple across from us after dinner ended so it was

probably closer to 3 1/2.

One more note for Chef’s Table.  In the past, we had a choice between Branzino and Filet.  This time we got both.  I liked that, but it was a good amount of food.

The World dessert I remember they offered at Wonderland on Anthem.  @death_star you were there, was that at Wonderland?

Good morning from lovely Coco Cay aka Little Stirrup Cay.

I just finished breakfast and still feeling a little groggy and tired.  Freedom has been shadowing us and is docked here with us.  The weather is 81 degrees partly cloudy.  There is a 70% chance of rain.

I’m contemplating what to do now.

FYI, internet quality is still slow but barely usable here at coco cay.

My conclusion for wifi this time around.  Its been consistent for the most part.  It went out yesterday but probably because of the storm over us.  I think that because we are at 1/2 to 1/3 capacity depending on which number you use.  the load on the internet has been way down unlike other times i’ve cruised.  I noticed that pictures have posted easier.  My glitch was partially because of the slow

net speed and cruise critic’s response to it.  Clearing my cache fixes it.

So i’m close to the bar pool.

Its starting to get little rowdy in here.  They shut the music down briefly and I heard chanting of “freedom”.  I thought something might be going down.  Since i don’t normally do 3 nights, but i don’t see this with linger cruises.  My one two night cruise was crazy and that was on Carnival…again @death_star’s faultDD93F3E4-932C-456F-8D91-73278F0599DA.thumb.jpeg.261c32323d6f601e2fc7912ba30eaf80.jpeg

edit:  They were chanting Freedom, the ship.  I missed that.  Carry on.

The testing at CVS was easy.  I was in and out in 5 minutes.  Too bad the closest CVS with an appointment was 20 minutes away.

Its official.  I’m negative.  I’m feeling less stressed now.  Its a go!!!

If I could do the test at home (meaning near me), i would do the CVS and not the home test.  Its was very much painless and hassle free.  Next time (in December), i will make an appointment near me and do it before i fly down.  Yes, expect a live thread for the first Brilliance from Tampa in December.

How much are the tests at CVS?

Looks pretty gross to me - lots of sweaty drunk people.

Probably 50% of them p-ing in the pool.

Yuck.

I tell people that 3 day cruises are generally party cruises, even on Royal Caribbean.  Add to the fact that Freedom is ALSO on a 3 night itinerary from Miami means you have two party ships converging into one area.

I’m at a dinner now.  So fun fact.  I’ve never done My time dining.  I’ve always liked having the same table at the same time.  So imagine my surprise when i thought I had late

seating and my sea pass card said my time.  I go to the dining room to fix and found out that because of low capacity.  There is no late seating dining and every one in late

dining was relegated to my time with 8:00 reservations premade.  So essentially, we have my time dining.

I like assigned late dining in MDR. Same table and waitstaff. Are you not getting that now being changed to my time dining?

Yes.  If you look at the cruise

compass hours, you’ll see that theres main dining at 5:30 and my time dining after 6:45.  The restaurant manager said they didn’t have the capacity to support late dining.  It could be just this cruise.  A couple of posters

posted compasses for previous cruises.  You can look they did the same.  I will look when i get off the ship.  Internet is slow to load the pages here for me to look right now.
