wayne_trisha Posted September 20, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2021 I don't see chips on the menus I looked at. Do they have tortilla chips? Love me some chips and guacamole!
firefly333 Posted September 20, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 20, 2021 Vista didnt have chips but you can get a tostado salad in a taco type bowl and break off pieces to eat. Condiment bar with things to dip into. Guacamole would turn dark if it sits out, so might be hard to find unless you pay for it freshly made at a pay venue. Maybe the pub has them. Love me some chips and guacamole! This is the biggest issue I have with Blue Iguana Cantina, no tortilla chips available. The food is delicious and they have so many salsas, but why no chips?
wayne_trisha Posted September 20, 2021 Author #4 Share Posted September 20, 2021 Guess I will throw a couple bags in a reusable shopping bag so I can enjoy chips and guacamole.
Jamesatgsu Posted September 20, 2021 #5 Share Posted September 20, 2021 No chips there ever. Maybe sometimes on the buffets (I know I've had them on NCL, but can't recall on CCL).

You may want to throw in guacamole as well. That isn’t normally served — unless this has changed.

We heard people asking for small bowls of guac and were politely told no. YMMV.

vwrestler171 Posted September 21, 2021 #11 Share Posted September 21, 2021 The reason is, the salsas are a condiment, not a snack. Plus the ships would get crushed and people would use their hands. Not very sanitary.

Got ripped on here when I suggested that pre Covid I had them add two silver containers of the stuff into my 🌯.

There's the Guy Fieri's Smokehouse and Brewhouse, which presumably qualifies as a "pub." Do they have tortilla chips, though? Probably not.

You could order plain nachos with a side of salsa or guac and see what happens! 😉
Brkintx Posted September 21, 2021 #16 Share Posted September 21, 2021 It was late afternoon / evening, but the BI had chips and salsa / cheese out on at least one night during my cruise on the Breeze (July 29-Aug 2). They clearly had them...

DAllenTCY Posted September 22, 2021 #20 Share Posted September 22, 2021 The tortilla chips included in the "trash can nachos" are pre-processed and small round ones. Who cares, as there was plenty of pork, beans, etc. to make that a winner. I will order it again, but don't expect the same quality as the taco bowl at Blue Iguana.
