Is Celebrity Edge coming down-under in 2023/2024?!

I'd like to sail on the Edge but it has been quite expensive in the past.  Curious to know what the prices will be.

Celebrity is overpriced,it’s not much different from It’s sister Royal Caribbean now.

You are paying for the free booze,Internet and such.

For what you pay for a standard balcony on celebrity you can get a grand suite or owners suite on Royal Caribbean with all the 1st class perks.

Free booze as long as you can get service at the bars. That was a big problem on the last Celebrity cruise we did. But wine service in the MDR was superb - our sommelier didn't have many wine drinkers in our section so we got almost all his attention plus he started leaving the bottles on the table.

And not everyone wants to drink a lot and don’t want Internet.

Exactly. The last Celebrity cruise we did was March 2019 and it was still under the pick your perk deal.

It was also a very noisy cruise. Loud music piped all over the bars, and announcements so loud you could hear them in the cabin with the door shut!

We decided to stop cruising on Celebrity after that.

I've never been interested in the internet packages.  I'm there to get away from my phone going off all the time.

Wallet and phone goes straight in the safe ,that’s one of the things I like about cruises.

But you are paying for  extras regardless with celebrity.

Haha. I wish.

ive just put a deposit on a transpacific, celebrity (all inclusive) was only $1000 more than a than a balcony on RCCL with nothing.  We decided on a junior suite with RCCL without perks (figured the bigger room and bigger balcony would be more useful) for same price as all inclusive on celebrity.

I really like celebrity and loved the edge when we did Europe in 2019 and would definitely book it again.

That’s sounds good, how much a night pp was that?

I was comparing the two brands for a cruise to cairns at the end of next year.

I ended booking grand suites on Radiance with 2 people in each at $340 a night each person.

We don’t get the Internet but get the suite extras.

$280/night celebrity balcony. Junior suite on RCCL was $268/night.

Both transpacifics.

It is a good price.

We want to do a cruise to cairns and comparing Celebrity eclipse and Royals radiance.

A balcony on eclipse was the same as a grand suite on radiance.

Aqua was the same as a owner’s suite

You meet some very interesting people in the suite lounge.

One couple that really stands out ,A African American couple who where in their early 40’s.

They just retired and where touring the world First class for 6 months .
All paid for by their boss and donations from their customers.
They used to work for the Baptist church.

The Church sounds quite generous, sounds a bit dodgy. Many of these churches fleece their believers.

22 November but prices have jumped. Grand suites have just sold a lot because our group, there’s 6 left.

The Royal suite is available and is reasonable at $7000 each for two,Grand piano and all the rest.

But they should come down.

Also have a look at February 2023 prices are good.

Crazy prices, 14k for a couple for a coastie, even in a grand suite. No way is it worth that IMO. Chili, do  you work for the Baptist Church, lol.

That was the Royal suite for 7k

we paid $3400 for grand suite.

How would a Batemans bay church that worships a hairless cat go?

Tax free dollars, you could be the treasurer.
