Paying for fast track would have been a complete waste of money for us.  When we arrived on Wednesday we just answered a few questions, showed our docs, and were at the luggage carrousel before our luggage.  What helped us was having hard copies of docs and not needing to be tested at the airport ( our testing was done at Sandals).

I think the value of the Fast Track service depends almost entirely on when your plane arrives, and when other planes arrive. It also can help speed you though if you're getting your Covid test at the airport, as we did but Hank did not.

In our case, Fast Track was helpful in getting us through before most of the rest of our plane, but the airport wasn't crowded. It couldn't help our luggage coming out nearly at the end of all the luggage from our flight, of course, but we noticed there was still a lot of luggage going around the carousel belonging to people on our flight who had not yet made it through testing and customs. It was helpful having someone take us to the various stops going through the airport instead of trying to figure it out on our own. It was helpful having someone tell us we needed to fill out a form which the flight attendants on the plane incorrectly told us we didn't need if we had the BIMSafe app.

From touchdown to being in a cab going to our hotel, we were though the airport in under 45 minutes.  (Almost half of that time was spent waiting for our luggage to come out.) I've read reports of people taking double that or more on busy days. In the end, I think we would have been okay without Fast Track service, but it definitely did get us through a bit faster and without any questions about where to go, what line to be in, etc., so I'm not unhappy I paid for it.

Yes, I think there are more flights on Saturday afternoons. We arrived on a Friday, and there were only a few long-range international flights on the schedule. Fortunately the Virgin Atlantic flight was early and had just cleared when we got there, and the JetBlue flight was a little late and hadn't yet arrived -- so we had a pretty clear time just to ourselves. If you have three planes at the same time, you'll be happy if you have Fast Track. And it's possible there will be more flights during the winter season than there are right now.
