How far out are check-in times running? Used to be 90 days, now....what?

Hello, all!

 

RCI used to offer check in 90 days out.  We have a December 2021 sailing and we're inside 70 days.  When might we expect check in to open?  Any recent experiences?

In my case it was 45 days.  Yesterday. 
 

they still don’t have the excursions in the cruise planner.   The online app gives frequent errors.

 

perhaps they should target 30 days 🙂

Not all ships are supported in the app.  Explorer of the Seas “supposedly” starting out of San Juan in a month still isn’t.

We are sailing on 11/19 and we still haven't even been notified of when the check-in date will be.

In most cases you won't be notified of check-in. It appears that 45 days will be the norm on certain ships now that most final payments aren't due until 30 days before. My Oct allure 31st sailing opened at exactly 90 days but then a week later FP was pushed down to 30 days and check-ins were moved back. Most of the ships currently sailing will have a check-in date in the app.

Yeah, it's weird. A friend on the same cruise was able to check in 90 days out, but check-in closed quickly. It says it's open for check-in now, but when I click on it I get an error message that there was a glitch and check-in is temporarily closed, try again later. Been getting that for about a week, ever since 45 days out.

Will be marking my calendar for 45 days before the cruise for check-in but going into the App a few days before.

Try a different device/browser.

Our 11/25 cruise already did checkin, but we are re-doing it on 10/11.

For those who are sailing in Nov, you need to check the app. I know quite a few people who didn't realize their check-in was open because they were 1. waiting on an email and/or 2. going by what the website say in CP.

What time can you check in on the app? 12:01 am on the day of check in?

One more check in question... can I do check in without our passport numbers and add them later? Since ours are in processing and we might not get them back until days before we leave 🙄 It's a Bahamas cruise so I know we can travel with our birth certificates and ID if we have to, just hoping we won't have to.

@erinsmom03I think 12:01 should be fine and yes you can get a check-in time without passport.
