We were on this sailing, and it was our first Carnival cruise in 15 years or more.  We had a great trip.  I will have videos of cabins, restaurants, private island coming, but we didn't have any negative experiences on the ship.  I will answer questions if you have any.

Did you happen to notice if they were still offering the wine package -- where you can buy 3 or 5 bottles for a fixed price?  If so, did you notice the price?  We're thinking of doing this instead of the Cheers package if they're offering it.  Thanks!

Sorry I did not, but I have all the dailies, so I will look and see.

The pandemic hasn't  been going on that long?!

Glad to hear everything was good. I assume the ship was around 60-70% capacity? Feel free to post food porn.

It looks like you went to Nassau and Bimini on this trip.  We will be at those ports (along with Princess Cay) on the Sunrise leaving MIA on 10/23.  Just curious what you did at those 2 ports and how many shops/restaurants appeared open in Nassau.  Looking forward to your review and pics!

Nassau was shut down on the Sunday we were there, but I think more Sunday that anything else.  The previous cruise to Nassau, the downtown was minimally active.

Bimini, we rented a golf cart and then we toured the island, the south end of the road has great snorkeling and if make a right turn before you get to the strawmarket - shade canopy on the side of the main road, and follow that street up the hill till it reaches a dead end, then go left and park, you are at Radio beach and there are food trucks etc.

Heard the golf cart rental guy was really laid back, cash, no paperwork and off you go? I've seen Radio Beach mentioned, wasn't that one of the 5 stops on the free tram? Glad to hear they have food trucks there. I think Bimini will only get better, hopefully without growing pains.

Radio Beach is not on the tram stop, the Tram goes up to the 3 beaches at the north end, and they are beautiful beaches, just not good for snorkeling.  Plus my guess is that food and beverages would be expensive.  The golf cart people are really easy, pay the money take the cart.

Here is a video review of our dinner on the first night in Cucina Del Capitano.  It has the menu and pictures of the dishes we ordered and our thoughts on them.

OP thanks for taking the time to record and post these videos. I am on Sunrise in a couple weeks and I am enjoying this info.

How hectic was the terminal when you arrived? I know that everyone is supposed to have arrival times but did it look like the typical mad rush to try to be first?

It wasn't bad, the big line was outside.  Make sure you have all the documents readily available.

Thanks for reporting back on your Sunrise cruise!   I'm booked for February and I'm glad to hear you had no major issues!

Did you happen to try the Chopstix (or Lucky Bowl) Asian food location on the Lido Deck?  It's the only eatery on the Sunrise I haven't experienced yet.

I really hope the Cucina is open for the complimentary pasta bar on embark day.  It's been really awesome when we've had it, and most ships (excluding Mardi Gras 😮 ) offer it on embark day.
