Private excursions???

Wondering about booking excursions with private tour companies rather that Oceania.  Any likelihood that we could be required to use Oceania excursions only, due to Covid restrictions?  
Any information would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

That would be port specific. Oceania doesn't require anyone to take cruise ship sponsored excursions. If there is such a requirement it's because the local authorities require it.

Without knowing when and where you're cruising it's impossible to answer the question and unless you're cruising today it's impossible to answer the question as COVID-related restrictions can change at the drop of a hat.

The O Life excursions are pretty good.  You should look at them.

We've taken them. Since we rarely consume alcohol the O life excursions are the most financially beneficial way for us to use the O Life perks. We book excursions that are at or near the maximum dollar amount allowed by the O Life rules (Was it $199 last we did it ?) .

Some of the excursions were good, some no better than the bus excursions typically offered on the mass market lines.
