bakery Posted February 19, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2006 My family and I are planning to go to Coki Beach on our own to do some snorkelling. I've contacted the Coki Beach Dive Club, who have a package where they'll pick you up at the ship for free if you're snorkelling with them. My concern is that I understand St. Thomas time may be different than ship time. How do I find this out so I don't miss my excursion (or get off the ship an hour early)? Thanks! richtersl Posted February 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2006 It will probably depend on what ship you're on. NCL is usually on island time. Perhaps if you post which cruise line or ship you'll be on, others who have been to St. Thomas on your ship/cruise line can tell you.
bakery Posted February 20, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted February 20, 2006 Good advice. I'm on the Golden Princess, sailing March 11 from San Juan.
Jim B Posted February 20, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2006 Normally cruise ships change their time to the local port that they are at. St. Thomas is in Atlantic time
gatour Posted February 20, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2006 Check on the individual cruise line boards, this is not as consistent as before
zqvol Posted February 21, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 21, 2006 Normally cruise ships change their time to the local port that they are at.St. Thomas is in Atlantic time But they don't observe daylight savings time so if we have a time change in the US St. Thomas and Miami are on the same time. bakery Posted February 21, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted February 21, 2006 Thanks for all the advice. Think I'll check on the individual ship board as suggested.
