Interestingly, unless I missed it (in which case, my apologies), there hasn't been any further discussion of a 14-day "quarantine" for the ship (two weeks without guests) before she starts sailing out of the U.S. this month, nor a change in her first U.S. sailing.   I know some folks were very concerned about possible changes to the initial U.S. sailing because of what appeared to be that 14-day rule from the CDC.  Anyone have any further info on this?

What I can’t understand, is how Apex was allowed to do her TA with 1000 passengers, yet Silhouette sailed empty due to the quarantine rules.

It’s voluntary for Florida - I’m assuming they maybe decided on middle ground that 11 days was a good compromise??

Obviously the 14 day quarantine without passengers is not a definitive requirement, because the Apex did not do it.  I suspect the crew on the Apex went at least 14 days without leaving the ship.  They along with all the passengers were tested at least 3 times during the course of our cruise. (All negative)

However it works out we are on her for 21 days in January! So happy she is on her way over!

We are also on the Silhouette on 1/24/21 so we hope to meet you. We come from the very northwest corner of the state of Washington. So looking forward to a cruise although we were on the Millennium a couple of months ago.  Guess we need to make up for lost time.

Also with you on her January 24 sailing.   Heading to Fort Lauderdale Friday for the Apex Nov 13 sailing.  7 day, getting our sea-legs back!
