Just got off the Mardi Gras for the Ultra Cruise.

Not the Ultra we were used to in years past.

Gift giveaway was the same. but no cocktails except cheap champagne.

No welcome party with the hosts that used to have cocktails and food.

No sparkling wine to cabin.

No chocolates, strawberries to room.

One gift to both players in the room, three pairs of socks.

Kind of disappointing.

Sorry to hear that.  What was your prize at the giveaway?

I did an Ultra five years ago and won the big screen, smart tv.  Going on the Magic for the Elite cruise later this month.  Not expecting much but with free drinks everywhere, I don’t need much else.

We had our Ultra in Aug on the Mardi Gras. Got the TV, traded $800 freeplay with someone that had too many TVs. Was the same as you said. Our Ultra before Covid, had a 1st day cocktail party & the one mid week. But we didnt get socks, got playing cards in Aug.. Did the socks say Carnival ultra on them? Just got off this am from Horizon Elite, where we had no cocktail party at all, but had all the great elite perks.

I just got off the Mardi Gras for a Premier cruise.  It was not like it has been in the past, but it wasn't horrible either.  There was no slot tournament and no cocktail parties with drawings.  We received a Players Club ball cap on day 1, two Players Club beach towels on day 2, $60 restaurant credit (for wine or Steakhouse selections) on day 3, and large platter of cookies on day 4.  Nothing on the last two days.  It didn't really feel like a Premier cruise, but the slots were open all night like on other Premiers.

Did an Ultra cruise on Vista in October, our second. Very disappointed. Gifts were pitiful. Baseball caps with Premier embroidered on the back? Pair of cheesy sunglasses? The same old black playing cards we got on a Premier several years ago. A bizarre rubbery bag with an uninsulated water bottle. No chocolates, had to call room service to get your chocolate covered strawberries. No first night cocktail party with drawings for prizes. An assigned time to show up at Reflections restaurant to grab a card out of a box after you fought the crowd. I guess the ones at the front got the good prizes. The ones we got had three choices - a sound bar, a Dyson fan, or $500 casino cash. WTH? We took the casino cash, no way to cash it in, even playing a little then cashing in. First Ultra my husband won an iPad 10, I won $750 cash, as well as some good cash prizes at other drawings during the cruise. The whole thing was like an afterthought, a way to get rid of junk stockpiled during the shutdown. Didn't seem special at all.
