Hotel prices have been nuts since last fall. The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach has been over $1,000 / night pretty regularly (mostly holidays.)

Now fireworks ? for  official Odyssey Inaugural?  Can't recall seeing fireworks at PE before.

The only 2 ships in Port Everglades right now are Nieuw Amsterdam and Enchantment OTS. So fireworks are most likely for HAL. OH sorry and Nieuw Statendam

Odyssey is still in port, i can see the "circus" structures.

I did hear the Harbor Master say the fireworks were for one of the cruise ships but he did not say which one.

I have a friend on this sailing and she found out this week it was going to be the ceremony evening. She was a bit bummed as she wanted to get sailing as soon as possible. But I think this would be kind of neat to see. Can't ever remember fireworks at Port Everglades before.
