vacation44 Posted November 25, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2021 Am I correct that when I am on my February sailing, I can purchase two FCC and then use them to pay down our next sailing that is already booked. I thought I have read it is allowed if you are paying down a suite or Haven room.
havanadaydreaming Posted November 25, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2021 Not sure about Haven, id sure hope so. We just booked an extended balcony Thurs and were only able to use one FCC cert for cabin. Previously it has been 1 pp. We have 8 of them and regret the purchases now. julig22 Posted November 25, 2021 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2021 You can't buy fcc from NCL. You can however buy CruiseNext certificates that can be used for deposits. The terms change periodically but the current "double up" promo allows you to use 2 certificates for a cruise 6 months in the future, balcony or above. Technically for a new cruise but as far as I know, you can apply them to an existing cruise. Just give the info on your existing cruise to the CN person and they can apply it so you know it's done. The Traveling Man Posted November 26, 2021 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2021 as julig22 said, there's a difference between Future Cruise Credit and Cruise Next Deposits. You only can purchase CNDs while on board a cruise, but they can be used for up to four years on any type of stateroom. NCL also now has a somewhat different type of CND that is specifically for Haven cabins. The terms may be a bit more favorable, but they can't be used on any stateroom type other than Haven. To complicate matters more, during the pandemic, NCL invented another type of prepayment deposit which can be purchased anytime, not just while you are on board. The rules and limitations for that also are a bit different. Check the NCL website FAQ section for more info.
