Slyfox16 Posted November 26, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2021 Has anyone stayed in cabin 1552 and was there much of an obstruction on the balcony?
swigso Posted November 26, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2021 Hello have stayed in this cabin it is in a fantastic location and has a massive balcony. very close to the forward elevators which are never very busy. you are also very close to the secret doorway into the spar. About 12 cabins down there is on the left as you walk forward, an entrance and a staircase up to the spa. Also the balcony faces aft so you are sheltered from any wind when sailing. there is window washing equipment nearby but it never bothered us. IMO this is one of the best cabins.
omeinv Posted November 26, 2021 #3 Share Posted November 26, 2021 I agree. The window washing equipment is visible, but unless you're looking to take a lot of photos from the balcony, I really is not an issue. Harris Denver, CO
Slyfox16 Posted January 22, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted January 22, 2022 We are interested in this cabin because of the size of the balcony. However, my wife can get a little seasick and was wondering if there is any problem with motion with the cabin being on the Penthouse deck

But in any case, you can find lots of detailed and very particular information on the pinned topic, I copied the link below.
Arizona Wildcat Posted January 22, 2022 #6 Share Posted January 22, 2022 Not about your cabin, but seasickness is completely an individual affliction. Grandson was ill leaving Seward AK almost as soon as we were underway. There is little movement anyplace on modern cruiseships with stabilizers. Rare asnaleah Posted January 23, 2022 #7 Share Posted January 23, 2022 We went on a cabin crawl two years ago on Reflection. I felt the motion/swaying in the forward suite much more than either mid-ships or aft. I don’t generally get seasick. For me, it’s Aft or Mid-ships. We tend to stay midship to minimize any possible motion.
gold1953 Posted January 23, 2022 #9 Share Posted January 23, 2022 The higher the deck the more motion . Mid ship and low is best for those who are negatively impacted by motion. Stabilizers help but we have been on S class in rough seas where it was not safe to walk around.. more than once
