MSC Ocean Cay..is renting an umbrella worth it?

Hey, MSC is charging $12 for a beach umbrella and I'm wondering if there is some shade, or if I should get one?

I think it depends on where you want to spend your time.  When we were there, there were free umbrellas and various types of seating at the first beach to the left of the entrance (between ship and lighthouse).  Our second time there, we parked ourselves between two small trees for shade, at a different beach.

We found that quite satisfactory, especially not having to carry a big item; however, if you can't tolerate any sun, it might be worth considering.
