Transportation from Galveston Cruise Port to George Bush International Airport

We are taking a cruise next November that ends up in Galveston. We will be looking to book our flight next week. It's important to know what time we can get to the airport and the various costs. What are the options we can use to get there? What's the earliest time we can safely book a flight for? Thank you.

If you still live at Islip as listed on your profile, Southwest Airline flies from Houston Hobby to Islip. Hobby is much closer to Galveston and is much easier to navigate as it is mostly Southwest flights. Bush INTERCONTINENTAL (many make the mistake of calling it International) is about 70 miles from Galveston and is a huge 5 terminal airport. Just a thought that you might explore flying from Hobby.

Thank you, but we have a lot of Delta points which we'd like to use and they have a lot of flights from George Bush. Yes, we still live in Islip and will consider Southwest flights from Hobby.

I looked at Southwest and they have no non stops like Delta has, so we will not consider Southwest. Going back to my original question, what can I look for in transportation and times to George Bush?

Check with your cruise line for transportation as that may be the lease expensive.

There is also Galveston Express for transport; you can price online..  Uber does not pick up at the cruise terminal.

Glad that you stated this. I was planning on using Uber.

Hi not sure if you still need info, I used Galveston Saltwater Moms. They have a facebook page. Group of lovely ladies. Great rate compared to the car services I checked. I used them last October and will use them in April. They know the area,  have alot of info about Galveston and entertain you with stories about the area, Offered to stop at Buc-ees on the way so we could have the experience

I am just looking into their Facebook page, thank you for the reference. We are cruising in March, and would like something reliable and a car sounds like a better option than a shuttle.
