When will I get notified of my embarkation day check in time?

If you use the app then the boarding pass is on your phone.  Check-in may go faster if the agents with the hand-held devices can scan your phone, swipe your passport and embark you.  If not, then it may add a few minutes if you need to go to the counter to be check-in.

 

Everyone needs a boarding pass to get on the ship.  If it's not on your phone, one will have to be printed for you.

Only difference I have seen is the ability to upload vaccination card photos. Just meant I did not have to remove my vaccine card from my passport holder when physically checking in at the port

Is there an incentive to checking in via the app, compared to doing it on the website? We've used Celebrity's app a bunch of times and it's pretty seamless.

I actually do everything but the vaccine photo on my desktop, then add vaccine photo's from app. I'm more of a desktop person than laptop, phone or tablet (have em all, just like my gaming rig).

Just to clarify for Astoriapreppy, your setsail (boarding pass) will show up in the app if have entered your data via the website. I do use the app for my (and wife and/or daughter) for boarding, simple swipe brings them up vs 2-3 sheets of paper.
