Junkanoo is the only public beach near the port, it’s a harbor beach. We always got day passes at hotels for nice beaches, Melia on cable, RIU on cable, or Atlantis. There is a public beach on cable by RIU and Atlantis, but no facilities.

Did you use local transportation to get to Cable Beach?

We took cabs to cable beach, easier with a family of 7. I meant to say Cabbage beach by Atlantis, not cable, took a cab there too, but there is also a water taxi (or at least there was).
