Enjoyed your photos of Cozumel, can't wait for my May visit on the Allure, but it is strange seeing so few people in the shots.  I really enjoyed my many walks into town, however after having a few adult beverages at Ponchos Back Yard, my wife's shopping (did not want to do a pack animal imitation) I would take a taxi back to the ship.

Day 4

The cruise director did allude to the fact that something is about to change with the health protocols real soon but did not say what or when…but with Wi-Fi and access to cruise critic … it’s the worst kept secret!

Yep!  They're relaxing the masking requirements as of 2/14/22.  Masks will no longer be required in vaccinated-only venues/shows and won't be required in the casino (and smoking will be allowed in the casino). We're unlikely to go to the casino on our 3/6 sailing due to that.  Masks are still required in indoor public spaces (that are open to everyone). So it's back to how it was pre-Omicron.

We need to start a ***** page to pay for you to stay on the ship full time. Your review is extremely selfless and a lot of fun to follow. Thank you!

Hahaha… welcome aboard the virtual cruise!  I am glad you are enjoying it!

Lots lots of shopping opportunities at Cozumel.  The liquor prices are amazing at that Cheduri market especially when they have a 30% sale really around holidays.  That’s my tequila/rum supplier.

Day 5 Roatan Honduras

A cloudy day with a chance of rain… docked at Coxen Bay.  Carnival has the better docking spot, Mahogany Bay where they spent $ to develop it a bit with an artificial beach and all.  I have seen the sloth/the monkey, the birds so it will be out looking around the compound and back to the ship, plus multiple people have told me that the area is not as safe and as friendly as some of the other islands.

@BennyBrun....I am impressed with the quantity of food that is available......what question swirls in my mind is how much of it is wasted!

If one can't find something to eat with all those selections then they need to stay home!

I think that is also the issue because when you have more selections at the buffet when the capacity is low the food waste got to be a concern for the cruise line but also for the cruisers as we should be concerned as well with the waste.  Keep in mind that this is not the only outlet that is open.  You still have more options onboard.  They need to have a balance and we should be slightly more understanding during low capacity time that the selection will not be as great as when the entire ship is full.
