tmumu Posted February 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2022 Is anybody aware of a 24hour period when you have until midnight to make your final payment for the cruise but if you cancel you lose your deposit because you should have cancelled the day before? This happened to me when I cancelled a cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines.

julig22 Posted February 10, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2022 When they modified the final payment to 60 days, they set the cancellation deadline to 61. So yes, you are in penalty window on the day your final payment is due.
Rare ziggyuk Posted February 10, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2022 (edited) Welcome to our world, in the UK market (and the rest Europe I think) that's life for us, from the day we book, a cancellation means the deposit is lost. EllieinNJ Posted February 10, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 10, 2022 Yes. We just cancelled a cruise because of the logistics. Final payment was Feb. 1st. We cancelled with our travel agent on Jan. 25th and it did not process until Jan. 31st. We were so afraid we might lose the two cruise next deposits but they did come back to us. AK Dreaming Posted February 10, 2022 #6 Share Posted February 10, 2022 Same thing happened to me. I wasn't paying close enough attention that they changed the policy and I lost money. Not great customer service in my opinion.
