Is the tender available for someone who uses crutches & a manual wheelchair (can go up & down a few steps).?

Thats a ship specific question-- some (mainly newer) ships can accommodate but many (mainly older or smaller ones) cannot or at least without some stairs. If you share the ship we might be able to offer some insight if someone has been on it before.

HAL Zaandam.  We have been on that ship previously but have never had to tender.  (we have tendered off other ships in Caribbean & Hawaii with no issues)

It sounds like that if you have some bit of mobility you will be ok but the tenders themselves are not fully accessible.

Bar Harbor can be quite challenging. Depending on the tide, the ramp from the tender drop off to the street can be quite steep. Other than the street next to the water, to get to other areas in the town, you need to go uphill.

About an 11' range of tide.  And don't forget the brick sidewalks, that are susceptible to winter heaving.
