On Feb 4 travelers were contacted by Uncruise or by TA, That the Feb 5 cruise was not going to leave the dock because Mexican Navy denied clearance to several ships no specific reason.   (Office would be closed until Tuesday for appeal).  uncruise offered us 2 options — not to cruise and reschedule or continue with  Uncruise -  use the ship as hotel and meals and they would offer excursions.  I opted to stay. The ship never left the dock.

What an amazing trip.  The resourcefulness of the cruise line was unbelievable.   Yes it was disappointing not to cruise and it was my first Uncruise.   BUT  they out did themselves with the excursions - many involved van rides or long small boat rides but there was grey whales watching, swimming with whale sharks and sea lions.   Plus they generously  compensated us.   It was the most memorable and enjoyable cruise I’ve ever been on.
