American Cruise Line Question

I will be taking my first American Cruise Line River trip but I have found conflicting answers as to whether tipping is included in the cost or not.  I don't see that in the literature from the company regarding the trip but when I went on a public forum it said tips were included with American Cruise Lines prices.  Does anyone know or have experience with this? Thank you

Under the FAQ section of their website it say “Guests are not expected to leave a gratuity on board.”. However, once on board, they will tell you if you want to leave additional gratuity, here is how to do it (cash or charge it to your onboard account).
