Cost of water taxi - Cabo

There is no set price, each individual water taxi will vary slightly.  Also, to be honest the price of one specific water taxi can vary person to person, there is a lot of negotiations on prices in Cabo and they raise/lower prices per trip often based on how much they think they can get away with charging you.  Ask a few different vendors when off ship and go with the best one.  Also, be clear on things like one way or round trip when confirming on price.  That being said only pay few dollars per person.

I have paid $8 to $10 per person for the round trip Marina to the Arch to Medano Beach for (drop offs) and back to the dock in the Marina.  Supposedly, if you get off at Medano Beach, the return to the dock is still included.  But how would I recognize the same boat/captain out of the dozens or hundreds?  And how much time and effort would I have to spend trying to find it/him?  So I have never worried about the return.  For $5 pp or so, I could just get in any of the water taxis and not worry about it.

I do worry about rough surf and having to board a boat in it.  I'd rather walk or take land taxi from Medano Beach back to the dock.

We paid $12 pp last week for a tour and ride to the beach. We made arrangements to meet our boat at a certain place at a certain time and he was there. He said alternatively if we weren't sure of a set time we could ask any of the staff near the water to radio him and he'd come. He gave us his business card to have someone radio him.

I would strongly suggest paying for a one-way.  Water taxis will be plentiful to take you back to the pier.
