Bonus FCC - does excess become OBC?

Looking to book Alaska cruise that will not use all of our bonus FCC, and wondering if excess can be used as OBC for final bill?

What I had happen was that it just stayed as FCC, and I applied it to the next cruise. Wasn't given the option to roll it over to OBC.

Upgradecabin, buy premium plus drinks package. Use by expir date or lose it

No. FCC cannot be used for OBC, shore excursions, spa, specialty dining ( really can’t be used for anything on board). Any FCC amount not used will remain an FCC.
 

 However, recent changes to the FCC  expanded what you can use the FCC for and that may help use yours.  You can now use FCC for your cruise fare, flexible EZair if booking is outside of final payment, hotel packages booked through Princess, transfers, travel protection, taxes fees and port expenses,  and even other guests on the same booking.

 

edit: some “goodwill” FCC often credited by Customer Relations have not changed how they are applied.

I got both types -- an FCC and a goodwill credit.  Can they be used towards gratuities?
