caribbeach Posted March 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2022 We are a couple "of a certain age" and really don't care about a pool or water toys. We would just like a quiet beach for a couple of hours with a few "refreshments". Even though Paradise Beach looks great we are thinking Palancar might be more our speed. Any help appreciated..
hmwende Posted March 10, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2022 Run, do not walk to Palancar beach. You won’t regret it. Cute palapa on the beach and free use of chairs and umbrellas with purchase. Five shop on the beach as well.

You have found a good deal if they are. much busier than it used to be although we haven’t been back since Covid. Rare mitsugirly Posted March 16, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 16, 2022 Very nice beach and relaxing with a lot of palms to sit under for shade. If you'd like to see my pictures, you can find them on my blog HERE
blue_water Posted March 21, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2022 Playa Palancar was our favorite beach from the ship 22 years ago. We stopped there while visiting Coz from the Riviera Maya in 2019, and unfortunately it was jam packed and a lot more palapas and tables had been added. Like being on the ship, and that was on a small ship day! But the number of cruise ships hitting Coz spiked tremendously, and everyone is traveling further south in search of that quieter beach…If you are there on a less busy day it is a beautiful spot to relax… The small tables are first come as mentioned, the lounges palapas are at a cost of course. Many land visitors now avoiding cruisers favorites!
doppelganger2621 Posted May 20, 2022 #8 Share Posted May 20, 2022 Can anyone give an idea of the taxi cost from the cruise port to Palancar?

Used to be about $25 for up to 4 people each way. I don’t think prices have officially increased but check on the board at dispatch and with your driver before leaving.
