I’m booked on the Borealis from Liverpool having had the Balmoral to the fjords cancelled. What is the WiFi like on board? An

We were on this ship at the end of August and there was plenty of sanitiser around the ship and in the buffet there wash also the automatic sinks to wash your hand.  Crew watched that you used sanitiser or wash before escorting you to a table and main dining room sanitisers as well.

Can't help you regarding wi-fi as I don't use it when on ships I wait until I go a shore and use the free stuff 😂

And how are they dealing with post Covid challenge site masks everywhere and sanitiser available?

Sadly, Covid appears to be on the rise again so I very much doubt there will be a relaxation of the rules aboard ship anytime soon.  We last sailed in December on the Bolette which is the sister ship to the Borealis.  It really felt safe as houses with tests before embarkation and when onboard.  Everyone had to prove they had been vaccinated and there was plenty of hand sanitation available.  Masks were mandatory while moving around the ship or at the theatre etc.  Social distancing was strictly enforced.  Each time a passenger returned to the ship their temperature was taken.

I've long stopped paying for expensive WiFi packages which are poor value for money and often with sporadic availability.  I have an O2 mobile phone package which works quite well in many countries and there are no roaming charges.  But I believe most of the other UK networks will give you a package for a "small" daily charge.

Used WiFi for one day in August on Borealis when we were not allowed ashore.  Worked OK, but not in all areas.  Did work by the mid ship pool area, but with difficulty, or not at all, on the back sunbathing area/bar (?deck 8).  It is priced according to time you have access to it, so we just bought a 24 hour stunt for £10.  The longer the time stint the cheaper the per day price.

Other details as described.  Ship does not supply masks so take some with you.  Staff remind you if you forget to put them back on after a meal, for instance.

I suppose if passengers have to bring their own masks they will look after them better and not leave used ones lying around all over the ship.  There are few things worse than dirty masks which only staff members would bother to pick up.  I'm pretty sure they will be available in the onboard shops and even perhaps the reception desk.
