shonadamson Posted April 1, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2022 We are traveling in June on the Norwegian Epic. Our flight on departure day does not leave until 8:00 PM. We will stay in Rome for 5 days before the cruise. We are wondering what our options would be on departure day. We will have luggage, so we would have to store it or take it with us Does anyone know what time we have to be to be off the ship. It seems like a long time to wait at the airport if we go straight there. Thanks in advance.
CruiserBruce Posted April 1, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2022 Most cruise lines will require you to be off no later than 10am, and will be pushing you off after 9am. Commonly recommended here is a tour, either private, or through the cruise line, that ends at the airport. Your bags will go with you in the vehicle. The major benefits of a private tour is that it will be custom, to make sure you see things you want to see, haven't seen before, or want to see again. Would highly recommend Rome in Limo for the tour.
euro cruiser Posted April 1, 2022 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2022 The private tour would be the easiest but also the most expensive. If you're not interested in going back to Rome you could go to the airport and store your bags there, then visit Ostia Antica before returning to the airport to pick up your bags and check in for your flight. Unfortunately you won't be able to check in your bags until two or three hours before your flight but there is a left luggage office in Terminal 3.
