SHIP TRAVELER Posted April 10, 2022 #501 Share Posted April 10, 2022 Just curious after looking at the RS photo of the balcony it appears the spa tub is gone. Is this true or was it just at the other end of the balcony? Our neighbors from across the street are headed across the Atlantic with you B2B. I am enjoying hearing about your trips and theirs. Hope you all have a great crossing.

Our first EB on Navigator of the Seas was flat as a table all the way to Tenerife. The next one on Seabourn Odyssey definitely was not. We have been lucky the Southern Crossing with stops in the Canaries have always been smooth. The mid- Atlantic choppy but nice weather. Northern crossings we have had a couple of wild weather. Last one we had to go south of Azores to avoid a huge storm causing cancellation of one port and all ports slipped by one day. Decks were closed for entire crossing and patio furniture tied down.

At home at 6:00. I have problems sleeping on a full stomach if we eat later than 7pm. Having lived in Europe we always eat late but usually light. Hard to do on a ship. They are always concerned when I don’t finish a meal.

Rare Jim_Iain Posted April 10, 2022 Author #509 Share Posted April 10, 2022 Sunday April 10 Weather and Seas Temps should be a high of 72 partially cloudy winds 25 mph and seas 12 feet with occasional large swells to 25 foot. Suppose to remain the same all the way to Bermuda.

barbette165 Posted April 10, 2022 #512 Share Posted April 10, 2022 Doesn't the Bermuda4U site say that the Orange route restarts in April 2021 rather than April 21st? Somewhere else in my googling there was a banner that said 2022 timetables would be the same as 2021 timetables. And this site https://www.bermuda-attractions.com/bermuda_000073.htm says that the Orange route usually starts in the 2nd week of April, so you may be lucky. Concerning dinner time, I think, on average, Brits eat later than Americans, but for many of the British on the ship may only have been in Florida for a day or two, so their body clocks may still be on UK time. Plus, why try and sync with the full 5 hour time difference, if you're only going to have to start adjusting forward again, so eat early and go to bed early for the first few nights. I also love their light Ginger Beer for making Mules. I hope maybe some of the ships bars are now using Fever Tree, but I bet if I ask for it in the Retreat Lounge they will find some for us.

Sorry for the threadjack....if you are a gin and tonic fan you MUST try HA'Penny Rhubarb Gin. It is fabulous and not too sweet. I agree about Fever Tree.

Bermuda certainly isn't making it easy to visit. I couldn't find the Orange route schedule anywhere on their site. I have an old one printed out from pre-covid visits. jenlock21 Posted April 10, 2022 #517 Share Posted April 10, 2022 Jim, I’m enjoying cruising along with you and your husband. We will be in the RS for the first time in a couple of weeks and they emailed me about sizing for our PJs saying they run large. Do you find this to be the case? thanks! That food looks amazing! Great photos 🥰 love me some food porn! 🤣 Beautiful flowers, how lovely that they were gifted to you. Small acts of kindness go such a long way, especially in these covid times. I might have to try and order these for my husband, its our 25th wedding anniversary when we sail 2nd May. They look great quality. Your suite looks like a small house! Wonderful. Am loving your review thank you 😊 Make sure you add your anniversary to the Celebrations section of your cruise. It’s in the general “manage my cruise” section. If you have a Travel Agent, they’ll need to add it. We added my birthday a few months back, and we were pleasantly surprised to find balloons, some bubbly, and a “towel cake” decorating our stateroom. Stayed there the entire 10 days. Will you be on the Reflection May 2? Edited April 10, 2022 by capsplace
