Roatan diving with RCCL

Hello all, husband and I (and toddler and MIL) will be on be on Liberty of the Seas Aug 14th. We are both AOW divers. We’d love to dive Mary’s Place while we are in Roatan. I guess my question is, is it possible to ever negotiate this with the official shore excursion group in advance? No, right? Ideally I’d like the assurance that we will get back to the boat in time if we are going to leave the toddler and grandma on the boat. There’s an AOW shore excursion for certification but not sure which company and which dives they’re doing.

Dove Roatan many times, mostly as a ship shore excursion.  99% of the time you go to Anthony's Key, which is so close to the Reef your surface interval is back at their dock. Love Mary's Place too, but it's all up to the Captain and weather.  All of the dive sites on that part of the reef are fish bowls!  The dive shop on Liberty OTS is awesome!

 We  dived with Sun Divers in Dec '21 They pick up and drop off at the pier

 

If you do a morning scheduled dive you will have no problem getting back to the ship for departure.  Just about any private dive op will take you where you want to go if you request it in advance. 

 

Anthony's Key is the cruise ship dive vendor but you generally don't get a choice where they take you. 

 

We are tentatively going on another cruise back to Roatan in early December. Probably will book with Sun Divers again.
