Can you advise how many guests onboard?

Thank you.

Have not heard a definite number. Yesterday it was “4000ish”. This morning, one of the crew said 3850ish. In any case, it is a lot more than the normal 2500ish that they have been running at.

One crew member said that he came over from the Escape. Another said that he was pulled mid-cruise on the Dawn and flown to join the Encore mid-cruise last week. The guy from the Dawn said that he has always been on small ships has never worked on a Breakaway/Breakaway+ class ship and it is quite overwhelming.

This is The Bird’s 5th post restart cruise and it feels almost normal. Even the “pastry girls” and “coffee girls” are back in the Garden Cafe, reciting their rhyme, serving muffins and coffee table side.

The Garden Cafe is the go breakfast place. NCL continues with their fully self-serve buffet.  Serving utensils are swapped out every 15 minutes to minimize the risk of the spread of germs.

Latitudes Dinner at Cagney’s

We found that waiters didn’t care as much about exceeding the $35 as much as stating that the SDP upcharges were the same for the latitudes dinner.

I was wondering if they would let you order an entree above the $35 limit.  It’s good to hear they do because IMHO the entrees $35 and below are not that great to me.

Glad I already have my two Onda reservations for next week😊

We will be boarding the Encore as you disembark.   So nice to see the dailies a week ahead.

With Kinky Boots down this week, they are kinda improvising with some of the entertainment.

Went to the Latitudes gathering (which was sooooo disappointing).  There is 1 Ambassador and I think that they said 5 Diamonds an board this week.  You’ll be in an elite class. At the latitudes gathering, they paraded in a few of the officers, the Captain said a few words, the officers left, Cruise next did a couple of “commercials” the presentation was over. A Bahama Mama and a few cheese cubes.

BTW: the quest for Ruby starts again next week. Contrary to other posts, there was no carry over from last year/period.

I think I planned this April 10th cruise with the idea it would start off my new quest for Ruby tier.  Will be adding to this year with 11 days on Prima and a couple of others. How busy does that casino look?

Not sure if we will get to the Latitudes 'party'.  Doesn't sound overly exciting.  There may be just a few Diamonds onboard, but I won't be expecting any more notice than the new pin😉

Must have missed a posting about this somewhere that these prices are higher than I've seen on the 2022 menus everyone keeps posting a link to "profcruise" website.

ie. Tomahawk $75 with a $30 upcharge vs. $69 with a $25 upcharge amongst others

Bird, we are doing this same itinerary in December. Maybe you know the answer to my question. For the platinum dinners - can one be used at Onda? The fine print on the web site is confusing. Thank you!

Not on the Encore.

You get one meal from either Cagney's or Le Bistro. That meal includes a bottle of wine.

Then, a meal from another block of venues which depends on which ship you are one, nominally Moderno or La Cucina. But if they are not on the ship, then item 6 explains what the substitutions are. For Encore, the choice is Los Lobos or Q.

Benefit is available on sailings 5 days or longer, and entitles each guest to one appetizer, one entrée and one dessert of choice. Entrée items up to $35 are covered. For items over this amount, an upcharge will be added to your onboard account. No restaurant substitutions. Names vary by ship. Restaurants not available on all ships. On Norwegian Bliss, Moderno is replaced by Los Lobos or Q. On Norwegian Joy, Moderno is replaced by Food Republic or Q. In Food Republic, the benefit entitles each guest to a total food value of $35 per guest. On Norwegian Encore, Moderno or La Cucina is replaced by Los Lobos or Q. On Norwegian Spirit, Cagney’s or Le Bistro becomes Cagney’s only. Moderno or La Cucina is replaced by Le Bistro or Onda. Dining vouchers are non-transferable to other Latitudes guests.

But now seeing the price increases making many more mains over the $35 in cagney, surely they should adjust the benefit to reflect same. 😔 yes, I know. Fat chance

There are 400ish casino guests this week (11% of the passengers sailing with discounted or comp’ed rooms).  It was kind of quiet last night. They said it was a lot busier last week, which is why there were flying in staff from other ships.

No. They strictly enforce the voucher which allows you to use it at Q or Los Lobos. Once upon a time back in 2019, we used it at Onda,,,, not any more.
