Chill Island vs. South Beach

Recommended Posts

I was in Coco Cay 3 times between Sept-Dec.   Didn't rent anything, just found multitudes of open loungers/umbrellas to spend the days on.   I hung out at both Chill Island and South Beach just to the right of the floating cabanas ($1,600 each for 8 hours).    I didn't even go into the water at South Beach because the water was incredibly sludgy and uninviting.  I remember thinking how incensed I would've been if I spent that kind of money on one of those cabanas.

I booked a south beach day bed for our cruise in July so I’ve been trying to figure this out and there’s a lot of conflicting reports about whether they are there or not. In this live review from March 18th there’s a lot of pictures that seem to show the day beds on south beach (post 760 specifically). That’s the most recent info I’ve been able to find. Has anyone been there since the 18th that knows if the day beds were there or not?

We saw them the week starting March 27. They were at the "end" of the beach away from all the complimentary lounge chairs and beyond the food area. When we were there, only one was being used.

Are you sure they said day bed and not the South Beach cabana? There have been serval reports on here that the SB day beds are gone. One poster said they had rented one and once on board they told them they were moved to Chill Island.

She did almost a full 360 so you could see the actual bed in the video.  *shrug*
