massey33 Posted February 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2006 We are planning a cruise over the Christmas holidays and can't decide between three ships - Glory, Victory or Liberty. I've heard alot about the severe motion on Glory. Has anyone sailed all three or can anyone make recommendation as to which ship would be better? Thanks! JoFromFL Posted February 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 26, 2006 We sailed Glory 10/8/05 and had a wonderful time and no problems with motion or rocking. I think the motion is just an issue tied to rough seas (especially during hurricane season.) I sailed the same RC ship twice and once was smooth as glass and another we hit a rough patch. Go with the itinerary (or price, or whatever...) that most appeals. The motion has little to do with the ship.

TrinaLC Posted February 26, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 26, 2006 we had a blast on the Victory ... go for the 9A afts!
Rare silentbob007 Posted February 26, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 26, 2006 There's no reason for the Glory to rock any more than the Liberty or the Victory other than the seas it hits. There was some motion on my two Glory cruises, but believe me, it came nothing near anything I've felt on some of the first cruises I went on. Cuizer2 Posted February 26, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 26, 2006 The Victory is a smaller version of the Glory and Liberty. The Liberty is newer than the Glory and has a large outdoor TV, which I don't believe the Glory has. The Glory leaves out of Port Canaveral, while the Victory and Liberty leave out of Maimi. All of that said, pick the itinerary that is most interesting to you.
PaigeM Posted February 26, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 26, 2006 Skip the Victory I can't imagine why you would say that. We had a fabulous time last week on the Victory!
idocdlw Posted February 26, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 26, 2006 Skip the Victory Sailing on Victory in April...could you please share your reasons why not? Does Victory just not compare to the other two ships or did you experience specific problems?
