wp bob Posted June 28, 2022 #101 Share Posted June 28, 2022 I sent once by snail mail and then emailed after 2 weeks. It took about 2 weeks to show up on the summary page as credits.

The way I understand it, you'll only get $250 OBC for it being over 14 days since you booked it as one cruise. If you had booked as 2 cruises, say 2-18 day trips you would have qualified for twice the credit. 1 to 6 days= $50 7 to 13 days= $100 14 days and more= $250

Since you have to list the booking number on the form, you might have an issue with getting the SH OBC for each leg of the B2B. You might try to put an explanatory note on the form or the cover email you send. Good luck.
coo359a2 Posted June 28, 2022 #105 Share Posted June 28, 2022 Could be wrong and probably wrong but I've only ever requested the SBC for each booking number. I usually book as b2bs. CCL asks for your booking numbers when you submit your request for SBC.
darnoc23 Posted June 28, 2022 #106 Share Posted June 28, 2022 Just tried following up for my OBC submitted on June 1st. I originally sent it through benefits@princesscruises.co.uk. Followed up each week and was informed to follow up again after a week due to their backlog (each rep confirming email I used was correct). This time around, I'm informed I should've sent the request to sbpcl@princesscruises.com and to call back again in 14 days if I don't see my OBC. 😐 My cruise is in a couple of weeks! What's the average turnaround time for OBC?
coo359a2 Posted June 28, 2022 #107 Share Posted June 28, 2022 Emailed my request on 20 June for the CCL credit for cruises 26 Oct and 6 Nov (it had dropped off these cruises when I had them refared). Checked today (28th) and the credit is posted to each cruise.
CaliforniaDon Posted June 28, 2022 #108 Share Posted June 28, 2022 Hi - My shareholder benefits onboard credit for my 9/25 trip appeared on my payments tab this afternoon, day 12 from the time I faxed in the request to the same number I have used the last few years. Fax: 681-753-0180. - As in the past, there was no email notice that it had had been posted. Yay!
Oakman58 Posted June 30, 2022 #109 Share Posted June 30, 2022 I mailed my request for shareholder credit on June 10th for my 16 day Hawaiian cruise in January and it showed up on my account yesterday, June29th. Coupled with my $250 veterans benefit I have a nice little OBC for that cruise.
Rare KKB Posted July 5, 2022 #110 Share Posted July 5, 2022 Bravo to Princess. Cruising 1x/yr it never hit our radar to buy stock for the shareholders benefit. But now that we are cruising much more frequently & stock prices are so low, went ahead & bought CCL & NCL. But I didn't get all the paperwork squared away until early last week--less than 2 wks b4 sailing. I emailed both NCL & CCL Weds afternoon. (with a bit of piecemeal screenshots from Etrade to get them what they wanted) NCL was in the account the next morning--impressive & unexpected. Princess just hit our account today--got an updated email showing it! They seem to have a 3 week turnaround but if you let them know you need it sooner, they may just come through!

They certainly didn't come through for us, even though we followed their guidance on timing. We ended up having to speak to Guest Services on board and eventually got the OBC halfway through the cruise. There used to be an efficient system in place. Shareholders were asked to apply 'at least X days in advance' of the cruise AND crucially, 'no more than Y days in advance'. This allowed them to focus on the applications in a timely manner. I've read reports now of people applying months in advance and getting OBC applied straight away, whilst others cruising sooner are being ignored. It wouldn't be rocket science for someone at Princess to sort this out and ensure everyone is dealt with fairly.
coo359a2 Posted July 6, 2022 #112 Share Posted July 6, 2022 We usually request the stock credit right after we book our cruise - no matter how far out the cruise might be. Submitted the required documents for our June 2023 cruise back in Dec 2021. When Princess started requiring payment (either using your OBC or credit card) for excursions you booked prior to your cruise, they started processing the stock credit earlier so that it could be used toward those excursions. Pre Covid, Princess was able to process and add the stock credit to your cruise within a few hours. My last request took about 8 days to post.

That May statement was the current one when I submitted it. My guess is that they didn't even look. Just tried to clear all requests out
Sea Hag Posted July 8, 2022 #116 Share Posted July 8, 2022 I think I shot myself in the foot (again). With the stock price so low, I thought this would be a good time to buy the 100 shares and get the onboard credit. So, I bought the shares. But now looking at the rules in the annual report, I see that casino (don't care) and gratuities (do care!) are excluded. I should have read that more carefully before moving ahead. Really, the only reason I was interested in this was as payment toward gratuities. We don't buy the upgraded pricing, since we don't drink alcohol and don't care about photos. Is it really true that you can't use the obc towards grats?

Is it really true that you can't use the obc towards grats? That has been poorly worded for a long time. As of our April cruise, the auto "crew incentive" charges and casino account transfers were still a simple charge to the stateroom account and OBC was used to offset that. What I think they are trying to say is that you cannot simply gift OBC's to a crew member as added gratuity directly.

I charge my slot machine play to my onboard account and it comes off whatever I have in my account. Since owning the stock for 15 years, I've been able to use it for anything I have charged on the ship.
MustangGT Posted July 8, 2022 #120 Share Posted July 8, 2022 Emailed our shareholder requests for B2B cruises in June 2023 on June 30th. Got updated Booking Summaries on July 6th showing OBC. Rare Ombud Posted July 13, 2022 #121 Share Posted July 13, 2022 Unusual issue: First they denied my request because the brokerage stmt was too old. I sent it in June with May stmt but they didn't get to it until May. Resent with June statement but they only posted to 2 of the 3 cruises. The one they didn't post it to was the one they put me on when Sydney->Hong Kong March 7, 2023 was canceled. Strange because PCL's rebook option was the April 2024 Australia to Asia & I just accepted. Resubmitted

Mine was a month out so they put it on. Chatted again when it was denied because the stmt was a month old and was told it wasn't soon 'enough' for them to handle. So there's sort of a system in place. Just not published

Recently, we have had two requests denied because we were outside of the 3 month time frame. I think it all depends on who is processing the requests, as others have obtained the OBC on cruises that are way beyond the 3 month period.. ^Shares certificate and brokerage statement should be dated no earlier than 3 months prior to cruise departure date. It's been years since I've seen a request form. I send an email with my info in a format I copied from the request form (way back when) and have always had it applied to any cruise. I remember the 3 month rule they had but when Princess started requiring prepayment of their excursions, Princess started accepting (my) requests for cruises no matter how far out the cruise date was.
harryfat1 Posted July 13, 2022 #125 Share Posted July 13, 2022 I submitted my email request on July 7 and saw the credit in the account on July 13 for our cruise next month. Not sure if it made any difference but in the subject line of the email, I put down our sailing date (less than a month's away) on the outside chance someone might look through the hundreds/thousands email titles and place priority processing for cruises coming up next few weeks. Yeah, I know, I believe in Santa Claus also... So if I have say $75 refundable OBC from TA on top of the $100 non refundable shareholder credit, how does Princess prioritize the usage of credits? For example, if I spend $125 on board, do they use up the $100 shareholder credit first and then the TA credit so I walk out the ship with $50 credit? Or they utilize the $75 TA credit first and then shareholder credit but since that's not refundable, I walk out with $0?
