VitaminSea53 Posted May 1, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2022 A current passenger on the Edge Transatlantic tested positive and was but in isolation on Deck 12 in an IV cabin. There were only 2 crew and 1 passenger positive so it is not a matter of overflow. Could this be a policy change for Celebrity? It would be so much more humane to have access to fresh air while in isolation. If so, I will consider not cancelling my late summer cruise out of Rome. Alakegirl Posted May 1, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2022 Who knows if it policy or not? Since no one ever saw an official policy statement we have only the anecdotal record to go by
delondin Posted May 1, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2022 The only problem for that particular passenger is they are right by the stack and can’t open the window because the smoke blows in.

AFAIK, Celebrity hasn’t published any prior policy about where guests who test positive are isolated. From the personal reports here on CC, the location has varied. One report on a mostly empty ship does not equate to a policy change. When ships sail at near capacity, isolation cabins will be whatever is available.
