Or …… Princess 🤣

Or P due to all the Pineapple heads on board, 🍍😂     Hope there is no Covid aboard, like Chilliburn said there was on Pacific Explorer.  Keep your masks on people.

On flight to Brisbane currently. Pleased to see everyone masked, allowed to remove for snack and everyone back with them again.

She is facing the other way after her return to dock this morning.

Thought she might. Give them a chance to remove the rusty water stains form the other side.

Spent 26hrs on planes and in airports in mid May - masked on all planes and in every airport we entered. Sleep was a little difficult when wearing a mask, and if you dared pull it down under your nose, the flight attendant quickly told you to fix it. Can see the necessity of it but do hope it’s over before our next overseas flights/s in July ‘23 😷 😮💨

What was it like at Melbourne airport this morning Cbtours? We are flying to Cairns 6 weeks today so thinking about what time we need to arrive at airport.

We went super early just in case. Our flight was 10.20am. We live an hour away from the airport so left at 6.30 and got there 7.30 ( no traffic cos public holiday). We fumbled at the kiosk to self print tags and there were lots of Qantas assistants wondering round helping those of us who have forgotten what to do after not travelling for so long.

there were queues at the service desks for those not using self serve though. The security screening section was very quick too, so we were up in the lounge having Brekky by 7.50am. We definitely prefer to have to spend time sitting drinking very nice coffees than worrying we are going to miss our flight though.

plane left 10 mins late and was full,

however I’m guessing later in the morning there would be much bigger crowds. I also notice an 8.20am flight to Sydney was cancelled. Which was a surprise cos it’s normally rush hour though it could have been cos public holiday, but it made you aware of making sure you always early enough if you connecting with either another flight or a cruise.

Maybe they have done a merger and it will be “O” 😂😂😂😂

They are already so closely aligned, and Pacific Princess used to be shared between Princess & P&O. Quite a few of the past Princess ships also had a P&O logo on the side. When Sun Princess first arrived here, it was only planned to be for the summer and operated by P&O - glad they changed that before she arrived.

Thanks for that Cbtours. Our flight is a similar time to yours but with Jetstar - usually fly Qantas but couldn't get a Q flight for time we wanted. We're SE suburbs so depending on traffic can take anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. I was thinking of leaving home about 6 because as you say much better to be there early enjoying a coffee instead of stressing about getting there on time.

My husband was just commenting on that today, just a two hour flight he felt quite muffled by it and said he’s not sure he’d want to sit 14 hours flight to South Africa in one (where we are waiting to return after 3 years so he can see family).

We’re Officer south so SE suburbs too. If it was normal working day we would def not leave any later than that for a 10.30 flight

We're along the bay, so will go on East Link onto the Monash.

They are probably feeling a little lonely and lost after the hiatus.  Little ducks huddling together.

Saw on YouTube that there were 6 cruise ships in Nassau the other day.  The areas that are accepting cruises are virtually wall to wall cruise ships.

Shots of Miami show multiple ships docked each day.

That's where the shipping channels are, especially around the GBR.

We have shipping channels around the whole continent. Just poetic that with all that expanse of water, that the only two ships operating ended up less than 100 miles apart. They would have been closer, but Pacific Explorer was out to sea.

Well there isn't much choice in itineraries at this time of year so they will come close several times over the next couple of months I suspect.
