dchan865 Posted May 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2022 Its been 15 years ago since we cruised on Princess ship so I don't know what any time dining is like at the MDR. Specifically I am curious to know if all the MDRs(Skagway, Ketchikan and Juneau on Discovery Princess) have the same dinner menu during an evening meal? Thanks. Steelers36 Posted May 9, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2022 All the MDR's on all of the ships have the same menu each night. By that I mean all the MDR's on a single ship have the same menu on a particular night and this is the case across the fleet.
JF - retired RRT Posted May 9, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2022 Back in the day...there were differences in the menus, i.e. Sapphire had 4 MDRs and each one had a slightly different menu. Lots of work for the galley staff.

487 Posted May 16, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 16, 2022 I’m trying to decide which dining room to choose. It’s just my husband and I, we like to eat the same time and at the same table each night. We are thinking of a sharing table instead of a 2 top. Is 1 dining room better than the other in this case? Thanks

Thanks No, it doesn't really matter. That said, you may prefer one of the mid-ship DR's or the one aft DR based on where your cabin is. From a small number of reports, it appears as though they may be using the Aft DR more for trying to set folks up for the TD experience. It is a real challenge just to get same table and wait staff each night. IDK how possible/feasible with will be in a sharing situation. You may find your tablemates are changing each night. There has not been any real reporting on posters who are looking to get TD experience and sharing a larger table if they manage to get any of the others the same each night. dog Posted May 16, 2022 #7 Share Posted May 16, 2022 On Discovery last week, the only difference in menus was for Club Class with an additional choice of entre or appetizer. This was mid ship for club class and suites in Skagway.
