Ft Lauderdale Cruise Port Hotels

There are many hotels within a 20 minute radius of the cruise port and FLL airport.  All of the major chains have locations with most of their brands for you to consider.  Most offer transportation to and from the airport and cruise port, and many offer complimentary breakfast.  Pricing is based on market and season and will vary based on that. Uber is also a viable option for transportation if preferred.

Your question is a bit general and broad to provide any more specific answers and I would suggest just to google "hotels near FLL" and start there. There will be a resulting map that will show the hotels in the area.  You can then click on the ones you are interested in and go to each local website for booking information, or use the associated booking sites that will also appear with each hotel.

That is what we typically do.  We stay at several of the national brands based on price and availability and they have all been good. What you may prefer would be up to you, however, and maybe the reviews posted with their websites would help.

The cruise lines may also have booking connections that can assist with hotels as well. If you booked through a TA they would be able to assist.  You may also want to post this question on the CC Florida Departures board at this link for more specific responses:

Try Hyatt Place near 17th Street they offer a shuttle from FLL to their hotel for $2.00 per room reservation. Best pricing will be through their membership or ValueTrips.com

Hotels tend to be cheaper the farther away you are from the port.  We live in Central Florida and drive to the Ft. Lauderdale area the night before the cruise and stay in a town within 30 minutes of the port.

So what would your go to place to stay be?  We usually stay 17St, but it is so expensive for next year.  We want to be close to a Grocery store, pharmacy, dollar tree and dress for less type store, restaurants ….oh and liquor store.  Any suggestions.  Would also like breakfast included but not a deal breaker if not.  Thanks

This will check your boxes, this is where we stay. They will pick you up at the airport & depending on which port you sail out of, there is a shuttle to Port Everglades for a fee. If out of Miami, SAS will pick you up at the hotel for the ride to Miami for $15.00 per person.

Hyatt Place (just off 17th St.) checks all those boxes...check using their membership rates.

Try Valutrips.com for cheap rates for Hyatt Place just off 17th street. We have it booked for a Friday in Sept for $ 119. and post cruise Sun & Mon for $ 109 a night.

Hyatt Place meets your list of 'like to have' and you can often save a sizable amount reserving through Value Trips but reservations are usually only taken for the current calendar year.  Every year they say plan to open the upcoming year's reservations around the beginning of November.  It is seldom that early.  But if you make a reservation at Hyatt Place or anywhere else with no cancellation penalties now, you could cancel and book Hyatt Place through Value Trips when they open next year's bookings if you can save money.

Just keep in mind that booking with ValueTrips the breakfast isn't included but that may not be a big deal. I've booked with VT but recently it was cheaper with the Hyatt membership so best to price each.

Thank you all for the suggestions, forgot about valutrips.

Lots of people also like the Embassy Suites which is right across from a shopping center that has a Publix, Total Wine and restaurants.  They also have an afternoon Happy Hour and cooked breakfast in the morning.  I hear it's a little "tired" but not bad for one night.  Check out Trip Advisor reviews.

We had to stay at Embassy Suites last December because of last minute booking and it was really depressing. Bathroom was so run down. Elevators are so slow. We went down to eat and stood in line for 20 minutes. It was really low quality buffet food. The place is jam packed with cruisers. Paid $260 for 1 night. We could not get Hyatt Place, it was all booked up. The only positive was when we returned from our cruise, I took our luggage there and they held it until 3PM when we left for the airport.

It is absolutely the worst Embassy Suite Hotel that we have stayed in years of business and leisure travel.  Shocking that Hilton has not forced the owners to renovate or loose the branding.

I am amazed that some people flock to this hotel because of the so called  free breakfast and afternoon bar.   Neither, to us, are worth the effort.

We cannot imagine how they command the rates that they do.  We do not even want it on a Hotwire win.

Four Point by Sheraton, Ft. Lauderdale,  Airport/Cruise Port

Wondering if anyone has stayed here lately?  We have a booking for March of 2023 and like to know what you think about it.  We usually stay at Hyatt Place, but the price is out of sight, will try Valuetrips as soon as it opens up for next year.  Also booked the Embassy Suite, but after reading the reviews, I don't think it is worth the price which is over $300/per night.

Wondering about how close the Fort Point hotel is to restaurants and Publix's, Total Wines etc?

Wife and I stayed there about 4 years ago and it was very nice. No complaints, just a little farther away from Duffy's in the Harbor Shops than Hyatt Place is.

We stayed one night this past April when our flight was cancelled and Air Canada was picking up the tab.   The bed was awful... I had to put bath towels  on top of the deep dip in the mattress to sleep and the the safe was unusable.    It needs a little love.  The staff on the other hand were fabulous.  The location is perfect & close the Publix etc.

It is hard to find a good deal in Fort Lauderdale I know  however check the The Riverside hotel on Las Olas.  We have a soft spot for the that one.

Stay there due to a snow storm and couldn't get back to NY.  Didn't sleep all night due to the bed so uncomfortable.  Horrible place
