redwave Posted May 15, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2022 Does NCL Travel protection cover cancelations of non refundable shore excursions booked with third parties? (eg if ship changes itinerary based on weather) It seems Allianz does not. Do you know of any trip insurance providers that might? Thnx.
Babr Posted May 15, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2022 Nationwide Prime is the only one I know about, but it also has a disclaimer for coverage of travel under CDC warning. Be sure to talk to an agent so you know how the disclaimer would impact you.

Make sure any 3rd party company has that clause, if not go elsewhere.
redwave Posted May 16, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted May 16, 2022 For their basic coverage Nationwide is pricing $30 higher than Allianz. Does nationwide cover something that Allianz does not that would make spending extra worth it?
Babr Posted May 17, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2022 The basic plan is not going to cover shore excursions. You have to get Nationwide Prime for that. And you have to read/compare the policies to see what they cover. First, decide what it is you want to insure. What risks concern you? Then, call a broker like the people at Trip Insurance Store. You need to talk to someone who can walk you through the process of picking a policy that meets your needs.
redwave Posted July 3, 2022 Author #6 Share Posted July 3, 2022 I'm not finding nationwide prime as one of the options nationwide offers. the three options are: universal, choice or luxury. Did you mean one of those? Thanks.
