winelaw Posted May 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2022 On B2B on the Edge beginning on June 11th out of Rome. Returning to Rome on 6/18 and then second week ends in Barcelona. I know what the Celebrity website states, but in practice, are they testing or B2Bers on Edge currently? Thanks!
homedepot124 Posted May 21, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2022 We just did B2B on Allure OTS and there was no test for fully vac'd people for the second cruise.

Royal Caribbean’s b2b testing requirements differ from Celebrity’s.
Arizona Wildcat Posted May 22, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 22, 2022 You need a Magic 8 ball. You literally will not know until after you board as things are constantly changing. Right now - No. In June???

Lady currently on the Edge posted yesterday, on the Facebook roll call for her cruise. she was tested for B2B on its return to Rome. As a nurse she also stated she found it bizarre that the test only involved running the swab round the rim of the nostril rather than pushing it right up which is the normal way to test. This was my experience on the Constellation in April too. Found it most bizarre.
Sekhmet Posted May 22, 2022 #6 Share Posted May 22, 2022 Found this on Celebrity's FAQs a day or two back: Are consecutive/back-to-back cruises still an option for guests? Vaccinated guests will be permitted to sail on back-to-back cruises. Guests sailing on back-to-back cruises must show proof of vaccination and are required to take a COVID-19 test producing negative results between each sailing. Guests who are not fully vaccinated or are not eligible to be vaccinated, are not able to sail on back-to back-cruises. For guests sailing back-to-back on any Royal Caribbean Group ship, complimentary testing will be provided onboard.

39august Posted May 22, 2022 #8 Share Posted May 22, 2022 We debarked from Equinox yesterday from a b2b. We were told by the Suite Concierges that as of yesterday, no test will be required for b2b pax. However, this was for a ship sailing from Florida. Don't know if this will apply to ships sailing from foreign ports.

When was you cruise. I was tested on B2B on Silhouette on 4/29 and tested positive thus tossed off the ship in Southampton. George announced this morning the ship was up to about 2%. Edited May 23, 2022 by jwlane

If you're referring to the "original" approach where it seemed they were going for brain matter, we haven't seen that technique used anywhere in the last year or so. TFree Posted May 25, 2022 #17 Share Posted May 25, 2022 I hate to throw uncertainty back into the mix, but we are on the Apex British Isles cruise ending in Amsterdam tomorrow. Somebody on our roll call reported that they were testing B2B passengers in Normandie this morning. I can’t confirm it, as I did not see it. This morning the Captain announced we are at 3% positive among passengers, and suggested everyone wear masks. In my unscientific estimate, at least 25% are ignoring the suggestion.
