Transfers in Buenos Aires and Rio

For transportation in Buenos Aires from airport to hotel in city center, are taxis readily available, or are Uber/Lyft?

If not, can anyone recommend a car service?

 

Same question for Rio, if I want to go from the cruise ship to a beach.

Taxis are readily available at the airport. Before leaving the secure area you passes booths were you can book the taxi and will get a driver.

 

In Rio there were always taxis waiting at the port, too. There we agreed on prices before the trip.

Uber worked fine at the port in Rio 2 years ago and was very reasonable.

We won't have local currency ahead of arriving Buenos Aires EZE. Does taxi accept US$ or credit card? 

What is a reasonable fare from EZE to BA hotel? Does EZE airport have free WiFi, we cannot count on ordering Uber/Lyft on my phone. Does anyone have info on purchasing a sim card at the airport?

Try Googling it or go to Viator. They have lots of options to choose a private car to and from the airport.

I booked a car to meet us at Rio airport through Viator. Also go to TripAdvisor.
